Find the five-star hotels that appeal to you the most
Looking for a five-star hotel?
When the accommodation is just as important as the destination, a five-star stay should give that extra ‘wow’ factor as you enter the lobby. As well as offering the kind of service to make you feel like royalty, you’ll usually find highly rated on-site spas, gourmet restaurants and top-of-the-line beds you won’t want to get out of.
Extremely comfortable, quiet and clean. The perfect holiday. Superb host, nothing was too much trouble. Secure parking. Lovely breakfast.
Nevers is a "hidden gem". I love the place more every time I visit.
Breakfast was superb! Ample choices. Delicious bread and jams. Fruit and yogurt. Great coffee. Hardboiled eggs. All we could want. Garden was pleasant. Appreciated the free parking. The owner was kind and friendly.
A beautiful property, immaculate, 5 star accommodation. Comfortable beds. Spotlessly clean, crispy bedding and towels. A lot of thought has gone into this apartment by the owners.
Beautiful Chateau, quiet location but compensated for by one of the owners - he being a chef cooking a superb 3 course meal with wine for a really great price.
Sebastian, our host, was delightful. A real gentleman. Location was great, on the banks of the Loire, easy to get into Nevers city. The accommodation was top-notch, a converted barn with three first-class bedrooms and shared open plan ground floor. Superb views of river and cathedral from our bedroom. I swam in the outdoor pool, a real treat on a very hot day!
Brilliant location. Comfortable room and bed. Good food and drink. Excellent staff and proprietors.
That sums it up. I value good, straightforward accommodation. I've spent years doing big 5 star hotels worldwide, professionally. But, I prefer intimate, unassuming, personable and different. Cafe Velo had it all. Charles, Anna and their staff make a good place to stay a great place to experience. To quote the ex-governor of California; "I'll be back".
The place was wonderful, the staff at reception ware so friendly nice and helpful. The room was what you could call basic but exceptionally clean, warm and very well maintained. Would recommend this place to anyone. Do not expect a 5 star Hotel, breakfast is basic but ok. I have traveled on pilgrimage many times and this is very hard to better any ware.
