Very clean room, beautiful building and environment, good view of the room. The table in the room was also a bonus. We had a relaxing one night there. We didn’t have the chance to taste the popular fondue, hopefully next time.

Great hostel. The room had a terrace with nice view. All guys working on reception desk were very helpful. There is a room with lockers where you can leave the luggage.

We enjoyed our stay at an incredibly accommodating hostel, complete with a picturesque garden and a pond graced by sizable fish. The highlight was the option to barbecue, an opportunity we naturally seized. We opted for a room with a shared bathroom, which pleasantly surprised us with its smart system. This intuitive system allowed us to control the lights and even set up music using an iPad, enhancing our convenience. The beds provided exceptional comfort, and the thoughtfully equipped kitchen elevated our experience. Additionally, the laundry facilities, available for a mere 8 CHF, were a practical bonus. Walter, the epitome of a welcoming and easygoing host, extended an immediate sense of belonging. We're sincerely appreciative of the warm hospitality and undoubtedly look forward to returning in the future.

The rooms were equipped with all I expected for the price. I got a mountain view room, although I paid for the cheaper option since the hotel was not very full. Very friendly and helpful cook, receptionist and manager. There was a buffet in the evening to avoid food waste in the off season, but the cook offered to prepare alternative meals. We even had luck that he had a great help from Josip, who even made the "feeling home" experience double special (the coffee he made us before going home was the best we ever tasted!). On a great location up mountain with a wonderful view over the lake we could not have a better stay for 3 nights before turning home than our stay in Hotel Sterne.
