Frances is a friendly and helpful host. She works as a healer, an ecology and music teacher and also as an artist and author. She loves the hidden gems of history and legends of the area - She is particularly proud of the fossils found nearby that provided the very evidence Charles Darwin needed when he published his theory of evolution. She is a long term animal advocate and plant based cook. She hopes to one day be Ireland's number one producer of avocados and is always engaged in an eco project or organic growing experiment.

We are located just 5km of the motorway, Junction 7 of the N10, for Gowran Racetrack, Abbey and acclaimed Glasrai Goodies shop and Paulstown. Festivals are happening all year around in Kilkenny; two comedy festivals, Arts Week, Rhythm and Roots, two great theatres and a brilliant pub music scene and record shop promoting incredible new talent. There's dancing of all styles. There's an outdoor adventure park in Castlecomer, which is fun for all the family, all year around, with Zip line, Elf Village, Tree Top Walk and beautiful craft village and cafes, one in the woods and down at the yard.
