The Antico Episcopio is located in the center of the Amalfi Coast, in the heart of the ancient medieval village of Pontone, a small hamlet of the municipality of Scala, the first Roman settlement on the coast. Pontone, although very close to Amalfi and Ravello, has a particular magic, quiet and refined, it gives a breathtaking view of the sea. We took over the management of this facility in January 2022. We were immediately enraptured and fell in love with the cozy atmosphere of the rooms, the breathtaking view and its history. With dedication, kindness and professionalism we are ready to welcome all customers who want to stay here with us, helping you to discover and get to know the Amalfi Coast. Together with my collaborator we will try to make your stay special and unforgettable. We will pamper you right from breakfast with KM0 products, hot baked or cold products, also for a fee a small selection of hot products to be prepared at the moment

Here time seems to have stood still: the bell towers, medieval buildings and churches have never changed over the centuries, just as the peaceful atmosphere of this coastal resort has remained intact. Part of the village was for centuries the refuge of the Amalfi nobility and clergy. The Antico Episcopio was the first and only residence of the bishops of the diocese of Scala, who were captivated by the breathtaking view and the atmosphere of other times that still attract visitors from all over the world. The building was completely renovated in 2010 by local architect Anna Fimiani, who has restored it to its former glory. Surrounded by the Lattari Mountains, Pontone is a meeting place for trekking and hiking enthusiasts, nature lovers and those seeking the relaxation that only these areas can provide. You can easily reach the nearby villages of Ravello, Scala, Atrani and Amalfi, discovering panoramic views, Mediterranean architectural volumes, shades of light at any time of day that will make you immerse in a spectacular landscape where the sea and the mountains meet.
