Masseria Belfiore is an old countryside house, where one of the families of Ostuni of that time (early nineteenth century) spent the summer holiday but also a part of the sweet and warm autumn in Ostuni. In fact Boccadoro at that time was a lush expanse of vineyards and the name Boccadoro came form the golden color of the grapes given by the warm sun of Apulia and the pleasantness of the tastes of its wines. But there's more. Before the building of the rural school, the owners of that time used one of the many rooms as a classroom (there is still an old desk as proof of this) and the elementary teacher arrived every day by bike along unpaved roads. What a strange destiny, this teacher was my father. I accidentally discovered this when conversing with my neighbor some time after purchasing it. This old neighbor was a young student of that time. After many years, along with my husband Adelchi and my sons Nicola and Gianluca, we refurbished this home after a rather long period had left the house in abandoned state. We tried to preserve the rural character of the place and the peculiarities that had always distinguished it and that there had made us fall in love at first sight.
