The location was great--relatively secluded and about 2.5 miles from city center... a great walk if you're up for it but the bus is right around the corner.

It was a good breakfast. Bread and cheese. I am not a breakfast person so I cant say much. The staff are exceptional. I will visit again because of them. Dinner and lunch at restuarant was really good too. Nice views to wake up to.

I think the kitchen was pretty good too because it is quite sufficient in terms of what is available. I also see that the host bought nice cutleries and dinner wear which is an effort to make it as nice as possible for guests.

The staff recommended us places to go for dinner and activities to do during our stay. We would love to come back in the summer months when the pool and games room is open! Loved that there were passes given to us to use for the public transport (bus stop just up the road). Some of the rooms are a little dated, but I think it adds to the charm. We stayed here over Christmas and it was decorated like a hallmark movie. Thanks for an amazing stay.

We loved the sound of the rushing river, and enjoyed checking out the quaint church next door with its old cemetery behind. There was easy, direct access to a hiking trail behind the guest house, and it was an easy walk from the Wilderswil train, and a comfortable stroll to the two restaurants we visited on our stay. This means you have to be a bit considerate to others and not make a noise.
