The George Inn is a 14th century inn and Plaine is a 16th century building located immediately opposite The George, situated in Norton Saint Philip. Among the various facilities of this property are free WiFi, a bar and on-site dining. What can I say. The property is sensationel, the food excellent - the beer as well and the staff are simply incredible, helpful, very friendly and competent without exception. I can‘t remember any experience like that and I do travel a lot. You simply feel at home there. Any time again. If it were possible I would allocate 10 points. Thanks

Everyone was very friendly and helpful, our room was comfortable and cute, meals were excellent, beer garden full of flowers was a lovely place to while away a sunny afternoon. Everyone made us feel at home. Very convenient for exploring Wells, Cheddar Gorge.

Not just friendly to people but really dog friendly. So you're there in the most stunning setting. It's like being in heaven- you're in wild and wooly, romantic Exmoor where you can sit out on the terrace perched high above a stream and look out. Or go out and walk in the countryside. It's secluded but conveniently located to be able to go down to Exeter or up somewhere else onto the coast. It's just perfect and the restaurant is fantastic and well worth the detour to just to go to the restaurant. I can't wait to come back again and most guests come back year after year...
