How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Need to accept cash at reception. Overseas visitors don’t all wish to use their dr cards with added charges. Charges for my room were taken from my nz cr card v when I wished to use an Aus card. I wasn’t informed which I thought was poor but maybe there was a misunderstanding when my son checked out of no 39 first
The plunge pool was good. The public pool was fine. Breakfast was good. Lots of choice and good coffee

We have stayed several times at the Pearle, this time we did notice that the bathroom especially was looking a bit tired, with mould in the shower recess and through the grouting.

Very inflexible to change/cancel our Accommodation when one of the busiest weeks in Broome and could of easily got another booking. We had 2 other Bookings in Broome that were very understanding to change to next year, one that even had a no change policy. Thankfully my Niece was able to stay and use our room, so at least our money was not totally wasted. Many years of using booking.com for both work and personal and this is the first time change, refund or partial refund not possible. Would be wary of booking here if you may need to change.
My Niece and Partner had a lovely stay as we could not make it to Broome due to Staff Shortages at my Girlfriends Business and we had to reschedule elsewhere next year

Pillows were skyscrapers. No good for those with bad necks. Most hotels have alternatives in the wardrobe. Probably could have changed them for our one night but, like everything in Broome, reception closes ridiculously early.
Looks fabulous & appears to be well-maintained. The staff were very helpful, cheerful & courteous.

Terrible wifi, hard mattresses, pillows not comfortable and expect daily servicing or at least every second for the price which was very expensive. Having to ask for fresh towels and where to put rubbish was not great. Very surprised not allowed to use your private pool at nite. Could be amazing with a few qdjustments.

The villa pools are meant to be heated, but they were frozen! Asked staff several times to check and no one got back to us. Bed sheets were very stiff and scratchy and pillows not comfortable. You have to clean your own villa during stay and on leaving or else they charge you. Would be nice to have option for servicing.
Villa very spacious and light filled with all amenities for being self contained. Very private and high external walls around the entire villa. Beautiful landscaping.

No car park next to the apartment but on property and behind locked gates; difficulty to get to the town centre with taxi or similar youve to stay around the cable beach area and most restaurants closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. This is not the hotels fault though.

We didn't have a car and on arrival we had 3 duffel bags and 2 back packs. We were surprised when no one offered to take our luggage to our room for us, which was no.40. As we were carrying our luggage to our room we saw a little cart taking people and luggage to the room next to ours. He could have offered to take iuggage too.
The whole resort was lovely. Our room was spacious, stylish and modern. The pool area, breakfast and catering facilities were well designed and beautiful. The landscaping added to the ambience.

The accommodation was a tin cabin with no balcony or views. It was a long walk to the beach and there was no evening meal restaurant. For the price, it fell short of my expectations.
The room was quite modern with a large bathroom. The pool was a good size and the water was warm.

It would have been nice to ha e the option of a cooked breakfast.
A great location in Broome. Very neat and welcoming property. Rooms very clean and well presented. Breakfast by the pool each morning was a bonus.
