“I think the staff were on holiday. There were a couple of standouts but some of the experiences were appalling: I had called the resort prior to our stay to request their recomendation for a family photographer, it was a family vacation for my 40th Birthday. The girl at the desk said this is not a service they offer, i explained again i was aware and i wasnt asking for a service from Cable Resort but merely a recomendation to which she replied 'oh ok, if you just type in to google broome photographer, it should come up with a list of photographers in the area..... seriously?!' - i then asked if perhaps concierge might help as they have assisted with requests similar in the past during our stay. She then said 'I will ask every staff member here, my Manager and the Tour Desk and let you know please hold, so I did' they then came back with one photographer that they had heard of. It was raining during our stay and during this time - the resort ran out of umbrellas for guests, had nowhere to eat for lunch as the restaurant by the pool hadnt received indoor furniture??? Another poorly managed project it seems, and so they dragged a bunch of outdoor furtniure inside after the rain had hit so we all sat inside a canteen feeling restaurant on sopping wet cushions to make do. That was my 40th birthday lunch. The man serving the food/drinks brough over my red wine and left it infront of my 3 year old!? Whaaat?? The resort had no WIFI at our villa so the entire stay i was left unable to receive messages and phone calls etc. from friends and family back home nor be able to finish work unless we stood outside reception in the rain to receive sketchy at best connection. We had our room turned over but no new towels were left in the 2nd bathroom and so twice we asked reception to organise this and both times it wasnt done. I organised a camel ride with the tour desk to a girl with absolutely no customer service smile, energy etc.”
“Liked the SMS messages to let us know about the food trucks that were coming for either dinner or breakfast.
Grateful for the upgrade to a pool view cabin; thanks guys.
The recently renovated cabins were very well appointed and were perfect for the long weekend getaway. We felt we could have stayed longer!
Pool was very nice.”
“The hotel is not open on Sunday and Monday which I did not find out until I arrived. They owned another property which was open. On arrival, I was early, there was no way to contract the property until the bottle shop opened.”
