Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Austria- I hate limits to pay by card, especially in a country with a different currency from EUR, this is annoying. Having only a card to pay with, the waitress refused to provide a coffee in the restaurant. Just after we paid hundreds for our stay and consummation. This should not happen in a 4* hotel. - The wellness is very basic. If you only need a pool and a nice view you are good. We had to ask extra that the whirlpool and steam sauna are turned on. Cold shower only. - Except the 2 above mentioned persons and the cleaning ladies, the rest of the staff does not seem to be helpful
- Good location to explore the Thaya Valley National Park and Znojmo - Good facilities: good restaurant, good playground on premises, indoor play corner for children, sufficient fitness room - Two lovely people in the staff: look for the rose-haired waitress and the brown-haired receptionist/manager - they are exceptional.

LithuaniaWe had bad experience with staff. First i found out there is minimum level of order, under which you need to pay in local currency - 200 CZK. The beer costs around 50CZK, so i asked if i can't order one beer, they didn't understood me and then directed me to receptionist who managed to talk in English. They denied, that minimum order is 200 CZK and they cant accept card for such a low amount. Then we found out wellness and the restaurant are working just till 20:00, as after the long trip we wanted to take a dive in to water, but also were quite hungry, tried to ask order food in advance to get it ready for 20:00 and come after the pool. They denied our request, said its not possible. Last and the least bad experience was when we came to restaurant and found out that only small tables are free. So we just joined two tables together. Restaurant girl came angry telling something in local language and showing signs with hands. As we understood its very bad to join tables and we can not do that. She didn't try to solve the problem, didn't asked colleagues to talk with us in English, just shouting something in her own language. I was very angry with that and started talking in my own language. After several minutes of unpleasant talk, when all the restaurant clients started starring at us, we just sat at the next table, which had a label (reserved), ignoring her and waiting what will be next. After that she didn't come but send another guy, who was barely speaking in english, but we managed to order. Fortunately beer and food was very good :) In the morning when checking out they ask to pay city taxes in cash. I said we are from EURO zone, how the hell should i have cash. So they allowed me to pay by card, but seems they are saving expenses for low value transactions, what is a littble bit absurd.
I didn't expect to find such a nice hotel. Rooms are very spacious, minibar inside the room, they also have extra bed. Shower room is also big and comfortable. Wellness area works just till 20:00, so we managed to come only for the last working hour, sauna was not hot, maybe they already turned it off. But after long trip, this place is just great. They also have good restaurant and serve tasty food.

Czech RepublicThe minibar wasn't working. There was a long wait for service in the restaurant. There was a steam bath, but the cold shower room was locked; we had to take a hot shower in the cloakroom.
Tasty breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. Also, the free entry to the wellness was fine. Location near Dyje river and winery all around

CanadaIf I wanted to be really picky: Would have been nice to upgrade TV to larger one (there were 2 TVs, one for each room, the bigger one perhaps 30in). Better hotels worldwide now offer large TVs. Few stains on carpet could have been cleaned in our room. Most fitness rooms have mirrors, it would be helpful to have one there. But these are minor issues barely worth mentioning.
We were in a beautiful suite, all was fine, clean and high standard. Staff was pleasant and helpful. I have been in this place about 4x before over the years, never any issues. Excellent breakfast. Pool was warm, steam room functional. Our suite was quiet. Good restaurant, available tennis court, bowling, small fitness room, wellness section, outside seating areas, sufficient parking, good wifi. This is well managed facility on par with good world standard, but still reasonable in cost.

Isle of ManOnly a minor point, but the coat hangers were plastic and were not strong enough for our motorbike jackets. Wooden ones would have been better.
The breakfast and evening meals were lovely with great service too. We didn't use any of the wellness facilities as we were just travelling through.

Czech RepublicPossibility to use wellness is very limited. It closes at 8 p.m. and starts later in the morning so We did not have a chance to use it. Last order for dinner is 8:30 and bar closes at 9:30 after that you have no way to sit and drink and talk with colleages, friends. And we are talking about wine region where you have nothing to do 30 minutes past 9 p.m. Breakfast is supposed to be fabulous but it was mediocre at best.

AustriaWas very sorry to learn upon arrivai that massages were all booked up. The service in the restaurant was not quite up to my expectations, apparently the personnel was new… As it was a rainy weekend I wiped my feet and my dogs paws on a towel before entering the room to keep the carpet clean. Checking out the manager followed me out of the hotel shaking the towel above his head and shaming me for leaving a dirty towel behind!, (although I paid a 60€ fee for the dog being in the room)! Not worthy of a 4 star hotel !
I greatly appreciated the quiet venue, rooms and the Wellness area as well as the possibility to brings pets along!
