For those seeking something affordable and decent, this hotel is quite good! I stayed at the hotel for 2-3 days, booked it last-minute, and got a good price. Moreover, it's conveniently accessible via public transportation to reach the Mercedes Benz Arena. I found the staff to be friendly; they allowed me to check in early. The room was spacious and reasonably clean, although I noticed the carpet was a bit dirty. Unfortunately, the bathroom lacked a shower enclosure, meaning that every time I showered, the water would wet the entire bathroom floor. What left me quite disappointed was the fact that the bathroom had no hot water; every evening, when I returned to the hotel, there was no hot water, and I had to endure cold showers in the midst of autumn weather (the nights were very chilly). As a result, I'm now dealing with a cold. In conclusion, if you want to stay in Berlin for a short time on a budget, I recommend the hotel, but please be aware of the cold water issue.

The woman running the place was incredibly ignorant or not all there. She didn't even say bye or thank you when checking out. Just stared at us and made us feel uncomfortable. She was out walking her dog when we arrived and there was nobody to check us in for 15 minutes. Cleanliness was questionable.

The hostess with whom I checked in was incredibly bitter and unkind. She would also stand in front of the property and smoke. A lot. Also the room was a lot smaller than the pictures that were used to advertise.

The shower, sadly the number one reason I won't be returning as there was rarely if ever hot water. I had a tattoo done on this trip so it was important for me to stay clean, and that was made impossible with the constant ice cold water. Having the front door be randomly locked sometimes was a pain if I wanted to go back on my own to grab something. Also, when we arrived (during the check in period) there was nobody there to check in with, so we had to take our luggage elsewhere to wait for a while and try again. Not a huge problem, but worth pointing out.

Beds were comfy, room was generally very clean and staff left it feeling brand new each day. Location was excellent, only a few minutes from the tram station.

One member of the staff shows signs of some psychiatric disease - screaming at walls and chairs. In my opinion she is under the effect of alhocol or something stronger. In the nights I woke up because of her angry shoutings and sounds of a broken bottle. I heard knockings on some doors as well. Luckily not mine. For a solo travelling woman this is definitely an expirience you might want to avoid. If you crave for an experience of being in a psychiatric clinic, then it would be nice to book it. Otherwise my advice is to avoid this creepy place. The floors everywhere were extremely dirty. Awful place.

I didn't like being kept awake by someone screaming for at least 2 hours in the middle of the night close to my room! It sounded like a drunken rage! The next day I discovered it was a member of staff! As a woman staying on my own I found it extremely worrying. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

The lady in the reception clearly struggles(talking to walls, shouting, staring and coming close). I wasn’t feeling safe or comfortable because of that, as a solo traveller I couldn’t sleep there, I had to go to my friends.

As above, pretty much everything. The hallways were creaky and filthy. There was no hot water during the day. Pillows were so thin I struggled to understand whether they were pillows or small doonas. No staff on duty when I arrived when it was meant to be staffed.

Not much. It was old and dirty. It reminded me of an orphanage that was inevitably going to burn down.

There was no staff on duty for me to check in. I called the hotel multiple times and no answer I had to book another hotel. Waste of time on my vacation. I want a complete refund!

Nothing really, it served our purposes perfectly

We booked Hotel Albertin for a quick city break with our two teenage boys, it was exactly what we wanted. A good base to explore Berlin from. We had two bedrooms, clean bathroom with a good shower and were only a short distance from the M4 tram into the city which took 10 mins.

Hotel definitely needs a refurb. Wallpaper starting to peel from wall. Definitely needs better cleaning for the apartment, hairs found in beds, dust and cobwebs all over. Bed sheets slightly ripped. Pillows provided were not allergy free nor were we notified that they wouldn’t be; one member of the group has severe allergies to this.
