How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The staff. The younger girl at the reception and the cleaning lady were very kind. The other lady (blonde hair) at the reception was never kind with us. She didn't even say hello!

The only thing which I did not like was that the toilet was in another place, a little bit too far away from the room. When I booked it, I already knew that I was going to share it with another guest, so I can't say anything about it.
What I liked the most was that it is located on the city center and there are many public transport options close to it. Additionally, the staff was nice and the room was comfortable

Both the ladies were not in sync. I paid money for extra cot for my kid, which we never got. When I said to lady in cafe in morning she said she don’t know. So basically I paid for it but never got it. Felt like cheated.
Location was top notch. Everything is walkable.

Would of been nice if there was a full length mirror or if the bathroom was closer to the room.
Great value hotel, fantastic location - walking distance to many city attractions, plenty of shops and restaurants around too. Staff were friendly and room was a nice size.

The wi-fi in our room was pretty bad. I don’t know if applies to all rooms but room 10 and 11 were pretty affected by it.
The location is nice, you have easy access to 2 metro stations. It is not far from the sightseeing. I recommend.

It can be a bit loud outside at night also the hairs dryer in toilet 5 is broken.
Good cost ratio. Shared bathroom but it was clean. Very good place to stay if you wanna stay for short.

Cleanliness and infrastructure. The bathroom is way too small and the shower is set too low. If you’re above 1.60m it is a hassle showering.

Only had one key per room. Reception was not available 24/7. The Wifi did not work! The doors and walls were very thin, you could hear everything going on in the rest of the rooms and corridor.
The location was excellent and the room was more than enough considering the price was very cheap! Room was clean, the bed was comfortable and you could not tell that two beds had been pushed together into one, like in some hotels. Shower and bathroom were fine.

The shower in the shared bathroom was attached to the wall only about 3 feet off the floor, weird! To wash my hair I pretty much had to sit down to shower, I don't really get why it was installed like that!
The room was a good size and comfortable, lots of room to spread out! Location was perfect, very close to Willhelmstaße, Mall of Berlin, Checkpoint Charlie and the U-bahn station. It was nice and quite so I slept great after a long journey, and the room seemed very well cleaned.

The building decor was not very modern but it had all that we needed.
The location was very central. The staff were lovely and helpful. We were able to leave luggage before and after checking in and out. It was very clean. It was quiet. There was a nice cafe area and prices of drinks were very reasonable.

The bet it was supposed to be for a couple (double bed) but in reality was 2 small beds.

Facilities are rather basic, but sufficient.
The location was great - very central! The staff was friendly and accommodating. A good place to stay for a night or two to explore Berlin. We enjoyed our stay!

The window weren’t soundproof and it was in a central location so I was able to hear street conversations, buses, ambulance, etc

The hotel closes at 7 pm. and if you have late flight/train/bus and need to leave your luggage, you can do it only till 7.
