Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe restaurant does not serve evening meal, this caused some inconvenience as one of our party was elderly, this meant we had to eat before we went back to the hotel. They do serve bar snacks of cold meats and cheese. We could not find any English channels on the TV

United KingdomWe wanted some water and paid €4.90 for a small bottle from the bar - it was too late to buy from Aldi. Next morning realised we could have probably just got some free from the dining room machine! For some reason there wasn’t much info in the rooms and we weren’t given a leaflet or anything explaining checkout times, breakfast times etc etc. Late at night, my husband pressed a wrong button on the tv and somehow ended up with four channels. Instead of about 24. And btw the tv even when working had no English (or other foreign) channels and didnt allow even french subtitles on many. Breakfast was nice but not quite as good as it used to be at this hotel. There were only two types of cheese and one was a soft smelly cheese (camembert i think) and the other was neufchatel (also quite a soft smelly cheese). Both tasty cheeses but would have been good to have a harder cheese as well. No freshly sqeezed orange juice. No dried fruit. No pain au raisin. There were no tissues in the bedroom. We felt there could have been a machine somewhere (or at reception) with some basics like water, tissues, toothpaste, toothbrushes, cotton buds, sewing kits that guests could purchase if same weren’t supplied free. There wasnt an obvious way to reduce smells in the bathroom 🤢
Quite a spacious room. Large comfy bed. Three big towels two hand towels. Bath mat. Wardrobe. Tea coffee tray. Opening window. Suitcase stand. Spacious bathroom with bath and shower. Pleasant staff. Able to breakfast late. Bar. Swimming pool. Ample free parking. Nice gardens. Clean. We have stayed here quite a few times in the past and like it.

IsraelNot too close to the town, so you may need a car or rely on public transportation
The hotel is a delight. I didn't use the Spa facilities but rather as a base for visiting Honfleur. The room was very clean, size was adequate and the stay was great.

IrelandNo complaints as such. Hotel little bit tired in public areas (e.g. lift) but that's just wear and tear. Also, price for us was a little big expensive for 2 nights but we were travelling in August and there were 4 of us!
We had such a lovely stay at Hotel Antares. We arrived late (after midnight) and were greeted by a lovely French man who swiftly checked us in, no problem we were so late and so welcome after long drive. When we went into room we were delighted - 2 adults/2 big teenagers - with plenty of space, lovely comfy beds, stylishly decorated bedroom. Breakfast was really lovely, plenty of choice, eggs (scrambled/boiled), bacon, lovely selection of meats/cheeses/jams/pastries - perfect! We used the pool/sauna and had the place to ourselves and it felt like our own pool - managed to squash in 3 swims over 2 days! Played a game of table tennis and chess in the garden. All staff we engaged with were lovely and friendly. Finally, Honfleur which is only a few minutes drive away is stunning and there are plenty of supermarkets/shops nearby for essentials. Would highly recommend visiting this area and this hotel. We were sorry to be leaving after 2 days and will definitely visit again.

FranceIt may seem dumb, but some basic things were lacking, first of all they charge for bottle of water, which is something that usually is complimentary in most hotels. Then there is the issue of the building, i stayed in what they call the “annex” … from the entry you could appreciate that it used to be a residence (probably for the elderly) of a sort that has been “adapted” to a hotel, however the bathroom of the room still gave you that feeling, also the hotel didn’t provide enough towels which is weird when it’s a hotel with a pool, normally it should issue a set of towels for the pool and one for normal showers… and finally security wise the magnetic card had the number of the room identified and the name of the hotel, so it would allow for someone to be able facilitate in case of theft somebody to go back to ur room and steal your belongings……. I know the message is long, and in general the stay in the hotel was good, but those are things that in my opinion could be worked on to make it better. (and please don’t charge for water and add a mini fridge) .
The staff was nice, the place is clean, is in a good location, the pool is a fun space and the breakfast was really nice. it also has a really nice terrace where you can enjoy a drink or meal during the spring and the summer… it’s a very family friendly.

United KingdomThe attachment for the shower head in the room 114 didn’t hold it securely and it needs to be replaced as soon as possible. We followed the suggestion given at previous review and had to attach it with a string… 😉
The location: out of the centre but easy access to and autoroutes. The hotel has everything for a 3 star one: comfortable bed, appropriate pressure shower, good quality sheets and towels, great breakfast and it was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.

BelgiumI missed a refrigerator in the room. In the spa there were wet spots on the wooden planks which were quite slippery and kind of easy to fall. May be a few more of those rubber carpets.
Check in was smooth, the room very cosy, not too big, the breakfast excellent and wonderful service of two very friendly persons, the spa was open the whole day, easy access to the spa facilities. A beautiful terras which was enlightened during the evening. Must be wonderful during summer time.

United KingdomWe were not informed of road closure at the end of the road and it took ten minutes and a phone call to reception to find our way round to the hotel - not the hotel's fault but a warning that it was difficuolt to find would have been helpful. The hotel bar is ver poorly stocked and is very amateurishly set up. The swimming pool and changing arrangements are very poor and unclear.
The hotel was pleasant and the rooms were clean and large. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking despite the hotel being full was a major plus.
