Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Staff were very lovely and accomodating. The venue was nice and calm, great location to disconnect and have a nice walk in the vinyards nearby. Bathroom and water pressure was amazing.

United KingdomNothing. Unique and perfect!
The property, room and area are just beautiful. Our hosts were friendly, helpful and made us feel so welcome. They went out of their way to accommodate our unpredictable arrival time, and request for an early breakfast. The property and surrounding area are so pretty, we wish we'd had more time and would love to return! Thank you

United StatesParking for a larger car was a bit tight, so travelers should note that before arriving.
Elisa and Mathieu were go gracious as hosts, always there with an answer about where to go or what to see. They really made our stay a pleasure. The breakfast was wonderful and a perfect way to start each day. I loved the appointments of the rooms (bath products were amazing), coffee and tea of quality at the ready and the in-room water service was charmingly displayed. We also loved the location being outside of Tours in a smaller town but could easily access places we wanted to go. There was plenty to do within a short drive.

SingaporeThe €10 daily charge for parking in the 5 private slots. The absence of recessed space to hang our clothes.
The management, Elisa & Matthieu, were very personable & helpful - making restaurant & horse riding reservations, recommendations for places & nearby chateaux to visit. Matthieu is a keen horticulturist & has done amazing job of landscaping the grounds. It was an amazing experience staying in the cave with all the mod cons. Despite his vertebrae problems, he insisted in helping with my suitcase up & down the ancient stone steps. Breakfast was adequate.

United KingdomThe hospitality was warm and welcoming. We stayed in one of the 'cave' rooms with a private seated area outside. The room was beautifully cool during this very hot week. There was a good sized swimming pool , with plenty of comfortable seating pool in the shade or sun. The gardens are a delight - the planting and variety was inspirational.

United StatesNothing...it was just perfect. Nice escape from the generic hotel experience.
Breakfast was fantastic! Elisa provided a beautiful variety of things for breakfast and cooked our eggs to order each morning! She helped us with dinner reservations nearby and in Tours. She helped us with our luggage upon arrival and departure. Also, the parking was great and I liked the security of the gated property. The hike up the hillside to the vineyards was a fun and beautiful adventure! The mystique of the old limestone caves where we had our room and had breakfast added to the experience. We felt the history of the place, but the accomodations felt clean & comfortable.

United StatesNothing really comes to my mind.
I stayed here with my wife and daughter. We had a very friendly greeting by Elisa and we were offered local sparkling wine. The place is amazing, the large county French house (like a small chateau) which is divided into more historic section (dating back to 18th century) and the newer section. Our rooms were in the newer section. When you walk up the steps there is a winery up above the residence. Rooms were large and comfortable with large bathroom (which us Americans enjoy). When we arrived it was around 8:30 pm and did not know any local restaurants. Elisa to the rescue, she recommended a local French restaurant and made all the reservations. Wonderful dinner and atmosphere. We woke up in the morning to chirping birds and smell of fresh countryside. The breakfast room is the historic section of the house and Elisa greeted us there with a very nice breakfast table. She made us our custom scrambled eggs in addition to all the traditional French breakfast offerings. After we spend the day exploring nearby local Loire Valley towns (Amboise, Bloir, Tours, etc) along with Chateau Chananceau, we came back before dinner. We were again greeted this time with Elisa and Matthew with local wine. We went to local recommended French restaurant and left in the morning after breakfast. If you want to have French countryside experience in proximity to attractions (Chateaus, local towns) then this is the place. Elisa and Matthew are very nice hosts.

United StatesI can't say anything bad about the hosts or location. Mother nature threatened us but obviously that is not controllable.
This place was amazing. 1. The hosts are incredibly nice and welcoming. At times. We sat and talked for minutes or hours. They helped us get great reservations at local places with amazing service and food. They provided a traditional French breakfast and went out of their way to serve anything we asked. 2. The housing was so cool. This very historic place is very different to a chain hotel and was awesome to stay at. It was a really neat experience. 3. The location was awesome! It was quiet and relaxing yet close to any of the local attractions like chambord, chenenceau, or tours.
