How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Breakfast was plentiful. Across from the Louvre, Notre Dame close by. Reception was friendly, fluent, very helpful. Needed an extra day stay and was upgraded quickly.

Nothing gorgeous stay
Expensive but a real treat! Staff so helpful that I wished I had utilised them more- Breakfast to room was something not to miss.

Tiny shower cubicle, with no room to manoeuvre.
The staff were very kind and helpful. Great location. I could walk to most tourist sites on both the right and left bank. The single room although small in sq m. was bigger than I expected and adequate for one person. The room was quiet at night and I had a good sleep.

I am not a fan of the newer shower heads installed to conserve water. I am all for conservation, but the heads make it difficult to reach a comfortable water temperature. I won’t change plans to stay here in the future because of this, but I believe in complete feedback.
Location is the best! Close to everything! I stay at this hotel each time I visit Paris, and it never disappoints! The property is well maintained, and the staff are friendly and considerate!

The staff were very thoughtful and always willing to help. Its location was central and within walking or metro distance to everything. My stay was for a fortnight.

We were staying in room 2 and it was very loud at night when people went up and down tye stairs.

The owner was very attentive and answered our questions immediately, especially with our arrival and our ride to the airport. The room was clean and comfortable and close to everything in town. She even took a little off of our bill because of a plumbing issue which was quickly fixed. Will definitely visit again!

Unfortunately the room was very small. The bathroom could not have been any smaller! Room to stand up and that's it. It was clean and the cleaning each day was good but could not make up for the fact that there was just enough room for a double bed. Fine if you are on your own but a bit of a squeeze for two. Also for those who are either claustrophobic or slightly more generously proportioned the bathroom size would be a problem.
The location is excellent. Right by the Louvre and the Seine. There are also some excellent shops nearby. The staff were very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and anything else you might need. The breakfast was also good. It was brought to your room every morning at your requested time and was good value for money, especially given the area, which was understandably expensive and aimed at tourists.

On arrival staff wasn’t very friendly, it should include breakfast and the rooms aren’t sound proof.

The dinner although looking great was a little bit underwhelming. We understand it being ordered in was hard, just after having an array of food we both didn’t think that the food was as high quality as the hotel. It was well presented even though obviously ordered from a near by location instead of onsite. However it was just lacking in flavour that we came to love about Paris.
We loved it! My partner and I had an amazing time both in Paris and at the hotel.

Great little hotel at a central location. The staff was very helpful. The metro station is nearby with a direct connection to Gare de Lyon. Breakfast is served in the room at the time of your choice (there is no restaurant). The ground floor room where I stayed has a small patio.

The bathroom was VERY small and shower difficult to wash hair as spray so scattered.
The location was excellent and staff really helpful. The bed was comfortable and although small the room was lovely.

Rooms are on the small side but the value for money is still excellent
Perfectly located both for tourists sites and being close to the airport train and one of the main shopping areas. The rooms were lovely and cozy. It felt like a boutique hotel rather than a generic hotel chain.
