How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The breakfast was pricey for what it was, but since there aren't a lot of breakfast options in the immediate area, it made things more convenient.
This was a fine spot for a business visit to Rouen.

Not got much character to the feel of it but we were only using the room as a quick stay. The town has lots to offer
Very convent , parking below the hotel, good walking distance into centre, the hotel is very modern and clean. Looks like the rooms have just been done up. Very quiet in the rooms considering it’s next to a main road

This was a business trip, so we didn't need to be in the center, and for that reason this place met our needs. Private parking is in a covered garage below the hotel and there is a nice lobby area to meet with colleagues.

Not enough carparking slots allocated to hotel. Had to use another section of the carpark. Flooding in the carpark made it difficult to get in and out of the car.
Honest staff. I left behind important travel documents, etc. in the room safe and by the time I realized it I was already in another hotel located miles away. Novotel hotel staff when contacted was prompt in checking the safe and made arrangements for the documents to be couriered to me. Truly appreciate the integrity of the staff.

The Nespresso coffee machine in our room did not work properly. Also, a construction worker entered our room by mistake in the morning (renovations were being carried out at the hotel), which was an unpleasant surprise. The reception staff apologised profusely for this and gave us some free drinks as a compensation.
Nice hotel with a big clean room for our group (family of 3). Good location, a short walk away from the city centre. Helpful and friendly staff at reception.

Breakfast was dissapointing. It was lower than my expectations from the last time we stayed. This could be down to limited staff after the new year, however considering the price of a breakfast I expected a little more.
Thee room facilities, beds were so comfortable especially after a long drive. Got a good nights rest

No restaurant for evening meals but good selection 10mins walk away.
Location was good for the shopping centre and bars etc along the river, and secure underground parking. Very clean and good facilities. Good breakfast and friendly staff.

14 euros for parking was a surprise Prefer a bathroom door that is solid and lockable.
Family room was spacious. Pizza from bar in the evening was delicious.

The aircon in our room was broken. They did move us to another room but it was barely working in that one either making the night's sleep not the best due to the room being so hot
Great location, easy to park in the street outside, lots of restaurant choices nearby, staff friendly and helpful, excellent breakfast, room spacious and clean, bed comfy. they also have an underground carpark but we couldnt use it due to our roof-box

We couldn’t fit our car into the underground car park so had to park on the road. The car got broken into while we were asleep and a lot of our stuff was taken. Do not park on the road unless you can see that there is a CCTV camera pointing at your car.
The room was lovely and well thought out. The breakfast was good with a wide range of choices and the staff were friendly and very helpful.

Divider curtain in our family room was broken (missing panel) and some of the sliding blinds in the room were a bit damaged/worn. Pastries at breakfast were slightly burnt.
Location was good, as was underground parking. Room was a good size and extras/facilities (kettle & nespresso machine, mini fridge, chrome cast tv etc) in the room were good.
