In summer rooms are quite hot, can open the window however it allows alot of noise into room during the night being on a main road. Hot water was a little finicky to work out but once you understood the method it was reliable. The staff did help us with this and were very accommodating.

Great location, friendly staff. Breakfast is a good quantity consisting of egg toast ham jam tea coffee. Housekeeping was regular and replenished towels soaps etc.

The room was in the basement with a view to a lightyard, the lack of towels for hair and hands. We only had one towel each. And we asked for one more towel but they forgot. Also we had to share the sheets even though we asked for seperat sheets. Also noise from construction work next door

    Location was nice

Was very dated inside, beds were very hard and very flat pillows which we only got two pillows on the bed so was a little uncomfortable, we went to use the fan in the room and it sounded like it was about to take off.

Easy to find, central location, was ok for one night we needed it for, very friendly staff.

Bed was a bit wobbly, but otherwise OK. New fresh towels and soap were supplied everyday, even when not needed.

Location is good, 5 mins walk to Earls Court station. Busstop almost right outside the door.

The dining room, right off the main entrance, smelled horrible!!!!!! It set the tone for the rundown building and rooms. The tile on the bathroom floor was cracked and coming up. The shower had what looked like mildew around the sides and ceiling. The door hinges had old hair and lint wrapped around them. The air conditioner didn’t work very well until my husband took the filter out and cleaned it in the shower, then it worked great!! They had a blow dryer with attachments that overheated and stopped working every ten seconds until I cleaned all the lint from the filter, then it worked like a champ. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. The rooms didn’t have a fridge but the dining room had a large one that you were welcome to use.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was nice and in a safe neighborhood. The air conditioning worked.

London hotels are currently very busy and becoming very expensive. I stayed at the Oliver late last year and was fortunate to book a room last week for a one night stay in London for just over £ 100 including breakfast. The hotel is easily accessible close to Earls Court tube station and there is a huge Sainsburys just 150 yards east on the Cromwell Road. I discovered a small Sainsburys just across the road, a couple of minutes from the tube station. I needn't have bothered with either as breakfast was included. Staff were all friendly and helpful and I was able to check in at around 2 pm, returning much later after business meetings. Re-assuring to find decent and comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price. Thank you Hotel Oliver.

Interiors a little dated but minor complaint overall.

The price was very good for central London with 2 kids and breakfast included. We just wanted somewhere easy to sleep and base ourselves and this was perfect for that. It's a little dated interior wise but the staff were great, location is perfect to the tube station and several museums. Breakfast was nice and simple.

A basic reasonably priced hotel in a very desirable location in London.

The room could use a mini fridge since there is no room service. The safe is too small for a tablet or laptop. And the carpeting could be refreshed but it was clean.

A good very reasonably priced hotel in a very desirable location. Staff was extremely helpful, carrying bags to the room etc. Breakfast was good - a nice soft boiled egg and toast - room was a bit noisy. Overall the bedroom was adequate and away from the street noise.

    • Leisure trip

    • Double Room

The shower was tiny. The walls and ceilings allowed noise to permeate room to room, probably due to the age of the building.

The room was comfortable and clean though not large. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location was very convenient for transport and the museums. Breakfast service was efficient and although there did not appear to be a range of choices no-one could complain that it was not generous in volume.

The bathroom was really really small. As an 1,80m person, i could barely close the door when sitting on the toilet or bend over the very low positioned sink. In the room itself, there was enough room to place some luggage on the floor, but not much more than that. It was manageable but could have been better. Also the beds were a bit uncomfortable and taking their toll on my back. But that might also be a combination of the many walking tours we did while staying here... ;)

The staff was absolutely amazing, such lovely people! You can tell they like their job and they all were so kind and nice! Thank you so much! The room service was there every single day and it was neat and clean. The soaps and shampoos were checked and if required replaced. The breakfast room was super light and really nice, with some chill music in the background. The breakfast was good, not a buffet, but refills were brought asap, always with a smile, by the lovely ladies working there. You could get coffee, tea or hot chocolate, a hard-boiled egg and a variety of jams to go with your toasted bread or just put ham and cheese on it.

The entrance to the shower room/toilet was quite limited. It was good that I am not more solidly built than I already am. Because the entrance to the room was not full construction, noises from outside the room were louder than they needed to be. The door closer was not adjusted and I had to make sure (for other guests) that I held the door from the inside when closing it and that when I left the room I held the door knob to prevent the door from banging when it closed.

The room was on the quiet side of the building which was good, there was potentially plenty of ventilation (I don't like to sleep in a closed-in room) Although I didn't use the TV it would have been a good size for the room. The shower room/toilet was quite adequate for a single person. The door to the room I don't think was actually a fire door, it seemed too light construction but would be easy to change. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I was grateful for their quiet support.
