Absolutely perfect.

The welcome by Jennylyn was exceptional. She was so pleasant and helpful as this was last minute booking due to the cancelled flight. The cleanliness of the place and attention to the details was 1st class. I was given a room No 22 that was away from the restaurants, no noise. I was even offered to get me a breakfast to take away which was really nice touch as I was leaving at 5:20 am. Not lots of pleases would do that. Jennylyn organised a taxi for me for next day and really made this unplanned, extended journey at Guernsey as easy as possible. The grounds of the hotel are so beautiful with all the flowers and plants and I felt I was transported to some other happy place, lost in nature. If I come back to Guernsey in future(it will need to be a ferry journey or hopefully the island gets new decent air company that is reliable), this would be the place where I would stay. Huge thank you to Jennylyn who is a huge asset to the hotel and so many other hotel could learn from her.

I honestly could not say that anything could have been done better.

The breakfast selection was amazing & delicious. Great selection of choice. The staff were extremely efficient, respectful, happy & made you feel welcome. They could not do enough for you. The meals were cooked to perfection & offered an amazing selection. Everything I ate was delicious.

The duvet felt rather stiff and not too 'snuggly'. English breakfast was good, although, as a vegetarian, wasn't too impressed with the bacon being served alongside the mushrooms/beans(?), with possible 'contamination' of serving implements.

The lady at Reception was so helpful and friendly, giving very useful advice on us exploring the area. Her very accurate description of the route to the coast from the hotel was spot-on! She knew who we were before we gave our names - her attention to guests was an exemplar others could learn from (other hotels, not La Barbarie!) The restaurant personnel were very helpful with checking my daughter's long list of allergies and understanding of her travel-sickness, making sensible recommendations for settling her stomach. We were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble, all questions were answered comprehensively and we felt in safe hands.

Much nicer than what I was expecting. Very clean. We had afternoon tea which was great value for money. Evening meal was the best meal I’ve had in a long time. Outside sitting area everything was all fresh and bright. Couldn’t fault the hotel even a little bit, well done to you all.

All the staff were super friendly, helpful and nothing was any trouble. Immaculately clean throughout. Rooms spacious, comfortable & well equipped. Bar and restaurant areas decorated to a high standard with a lovely ambient feel. Accommodated my daughters dietary requirements without fuss. Breakfast choice superb and well presented. Excellent location with a bus stop right outside for trips all around the island. Simply perfect hotel experience 😊

Welcoming receptionist on arrival. Spotless room, comfortable bed, warm, nice towels which wrapped all around without any gaps, towelling robes with slippers. Hot shower. We dined at the onsite restaurant which was lovely, our waiter was very professional and friendly with an amazing smile. The food was sublime. The staff on the morning that we checked out very kindly arranged some toast on a tray as one of the party was unwell enough to have the full breakfast.

Despite blinds and curtains fitted to the windows, the lights from front entrance were evident in room overnight as curtains were not close fitting to window. Only a problem if you’re sensitive to the light

We had a standard double room - the Room size was excellent as was the shower. The room facilities were good. Towels and dressing gowns large and beautifully soft.

Stay wasn't long enough

The lady on reception when we arrived was so lovely! It was pouring with rain, and she still insisted on showing us to our room. The girl when we checked out was also lovely, and checked we enjoyed our stay. Restaurant food AMAZING and on another level since we last stayed. Restaurant staff were lovely. Very positive experience this time. We stayed 18 months ago and there was an unpleasant Duty Manager (Liam?) speaking in an unsavoury way about his staff, he didn't seem to be there this time, which was a plus. Beds sooo comfortable! Room gorgeous and so clean! Loved it.
