Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

AustraliaI had a room facing the main road and for two nights they started roadworks at 9pm that went on till midnight. It was noisy. Whilst the hotel is a 10 min walk to a train station and 5 min walk to bus stop, it required more train changing than when I stayed in Myeondong.

United StatesThe dinner at the restaurant was quite expensive. I ordered the pepperoni pizza and had a drink along with it. I spent a bit more than I would've liked to but I figure most people (i.e., non-Americans) aren't going to eat an entire pepperoni pizza by themselves. So, split amongst two individuals, this price isn't terrible - but there are cheaper options outside the hotel. The biggest, most noticeable issue with this hotel was the elevator. I was on the highest floor and the elevator was significantly slower than most in our modern age. This is a very small thing, but it was noticeable enough to mention.
The price for the location was very competitive. Couple this with the comfortable room, breakfast with good variety, and the helpful and welcoming staff, my stay was enjoyable. The hotel is a comfortable walk to the COEX conference center and mall in Gangnam. There are some restaurants nearby that cater to locals (ask reception) and offer very affordable and filling meals. If you're looking for more tourist attractions, Gangnam might not be the best option but if you're here for business and/or don't mind taking Ubers to Itaewon or other districts north of the river, it's a good option. The breakfast was just above average in terms of value. Good variety, good quality ingredients, and a very attentive staff. I never left feeling unsatisfied and specifically enjoyed the rice, fried eggs, salad options, yogurt, fruit (e.g., pineapple, orange slices), and mini-waffles.

United KingdomA little disappointed with the hotel bar; very little choice but with so much within walking distance I guess this isn’t enough to put you off really.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Location was very good and real selling point for this hotel. Walking distance to Coex Mall, restaurants, bars and metro stations. Bed was one of the comfiest I’ve slept in across all my travels; bravo! Staff very pleasant also.

Very clean and spacious room. Great location: You can take the bus from Incheon and stop at Riviera Hotel. From there it's just crossing the street.
