    Everything was great

We loved the Terrace with the view of town. I enjoyed doing my morning meditation and yoga here. The place is very well managed by a friendly staff, and is kept super clean. Breakfast was very well prepared. The location is great.

If you’re an early riser, say before 8am, you’re waiting for coffee. Really, though, that’s not even a complaint just something I noticed because I was up around 6am trying to catch the sunrises each morning. Staff isn’t there at that time.

You cannot ask for a better location than this B&B. Breakfast was served each morning and that’s when you had a chance to catch up with and get to know the other guests. The house is beautiful and be sure to go out to the rooftop each day. Gorgeous views.

    Cannot think of a thing.

This b&b was a true find. Centrally located and beautiful. The room was extremely comfortable as well as the bed. The dining room is a great place to meet new friends and very comfortable. The kitchen was amazing to cook in. The staff were so very helpful and did everything they could to accommodate us.The breakfasts served in the morning were excellent. The Terrazas was better than any of the expensive restaurants to watch the sunsets. The views from the rooftop were outstanding.

Lack of hot water in the sink.

The rooftop is great for photography. It has a good shaded area which is not often available in San Miguel.

Simple maintenance fixes would make this a 10/10. The fridge in the room doesn't work (sticky note on it, they were clearly aware). The ceiling fan was wobbling to a point we were concerned and didn't use it (and there is no AC). We never were able to get the TV to turn on (didn't ask for help - we just let it be).

Location is great - staff incredibly friendly

The decor was okay, but they could brighten up the interior with more colorful pillows, bedspreads, art, etc.

The breakfast was terrific. The cook would make anything we wanted. We usually had fresh fruit, toast, huevos rancheros or pancakes, bacon, ham, coffee, and fresh squeezed orange juice. There was also cereal and yoghurt if you wanted it. Breakfast was always served with a smile. The location was great — a few blocks from the Jardin. The rooftop was fabulous, at any time of day, but especially at sunset and at night when you could see the Parrochia all lit up, and the other buildings all around it. We would definitely go back to Casa Mariela.

    Bed is quite hard.

Location, lovely old house with beautiful art, nice staff, great breakfast, beautiful rooftop patio for relaxing and drying some laundry. We loved everything about this hotel except the beds are much harder than we are used to. If you are young and a hard bed is no problem, you should definitely stay here. Pack earplugs as you will hear roosters crowing, church bells, and lots of singing on the weekends when the bars close. All part of the charm.

Changes rooms due to being close to a hot water tank but was no problem moving to another room.

Was good , the fresh orange juice and a side of eggs / toast w the fruit/ granola / yogurt plus coffe was nice . The casa is small but fine w lots of art displayed and a killer roof top terrace that has the best 360 degree views.

Cleaning crew was on site at 8:00 sharp, not allowing for sleeping late. Noise of mop hitting the deck and stair railing above the room was annowying. Had no hot water the first morning. Step-up in room was challenging. Lack of stair and hall/deck lighting was troublesome.

Breakfast was very good. Fresh fruit and juice, bread was tasty, and delicious coffee.

A beautiful place in San Miguel de Allende, recommended to everyone coming by here to stay. When you enter, you get greeted warmly and walk through a corridor of colorful pots with greenery. Head towards the rooftop with the most incredible landscape view of the city. Hands down, better than fancy hotel rooftop bars, dont waste time and money there. The rooftop in Casa Maricela is one of the most amazing viewpoints of the city. Rooms are clean, spotless and warm even during winter nights. Shower runs smoothly and you have two bottles of water provided. Staff are like family here. The host is also just incredible. You shouldnt miss the breakfast in the morning with coffee. A place I would definetly come back to.
