“The roof terrace is fantastic! The room has a good size and the bathroom was superclean. The fans in the room were enough to keep the heat at bay.”

  • Casa Palaxs Review score: 10

“Lovely staff that are very helpful - thank you so much! Great location and views of the city. Spacious, clean and stylish rooms. Plenty of open common spaces to relax and enjoy.”

  • Villa Sueño Azul B&B Review score: 8

“Friendly staff, Location not bad. (Calm area, the end of the center..?) Roof top terrace was very cute”

  • Casa Zuniga B&B Review score: 9

“Such a quirky and unusual place. We loved the decor and the size and the vista above the town. Riding to and fro to the centre was a hoot. Any needs were met speedily and with good grace and both Ari and Billy are fun to engage with.”

“Fabulous location in Guanajuato! On extremely central street but not next to anywhere too noisy so still able to get good night sleep. Street parades/ bands do sometimes go past but we loved these and they are a great part of Guanajuato! Door has code for access so entrance quite discreet. Kitchen facilities were great and water filter on tap in kitchen was really nice to have. Room very clean and comfortable beds. Maid who works there was really sweet lovely lady! Very quick response from hotel staff via whatsapp for any questions/ queries.”

  • Habitacion xocolatl Review score: 10

“The host is extremely helpful and kind. The room was super clean, shower was good and clean, room had an opening window with a mosquito net to the courtyard. It was quiet and peaceful. There was a shared kitchen with everything, including a fridge and drinking water supplied. Close to the central area.”

  • Casita Privada del Chan Review score: 8

“Very quiet, away from the busy-ness of the centre of Guanajuato, good air flow with the fan even on very hot afternoons. Basically about 1000 steps to the Teatro Juarez in the heart of the city, 500 to our favourite breakfast place.”

  • “Central location, comfortable enough for a night or two. The courtyard is super cute and the tap actually has filtered water which is awesome! The two-storeyd room is fun.”

  • Casa Rofo Review score: 10

“I loved everything about Casa Rofo! The view from the terrace is spectacular, Guanajuato is uniquely beautiful. Omar and Jacquie are so kind, warm, and welcoming., truly wonderful hosts. The room was spotlessly clean, very peaceful, relaxing and comfortable, and it’s such a treat to have a fridge. I found the walk down to the Centro Histórico very quick and charming, definitely harder coming back up in the heat but worth it to sit on the terrace and watch the magical sunset, and the city lights come on. I found GTO very easy to navigate as a solo traveller, I took the v comfortable ETN bus from GDL, got an Uber from the bus station for just over 100 pesos, and a taxi back for 100 pesos. I felt very safe walking around alone, and there are lots of great restaurants. I loved Omar’s breakfasts, especially the huaraches! I wish I’d stayed longer, I would definitely stay at Casa Rofo again if I ever come back to GTO!”

  • HOLT Hotel del Pueblito Review score: 9

“I loved the location, the design/decor, the cleanliness of the room, and the super-comfortable bed! It felt safe, was quiet (except for the San Miguel fireworks, but that is an issue anywhere!). I also appreciated that there was a filtered water dispenser available on the floor and that, when it was empty and I let HOLT know, it was refilled quickly.”
