Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesYou have to hand over your room key to the front desk each time you leave, which is a little tedious; to their credit, the staff is really good about making this process quick and relatively painless (for instance, proactively handing me my key when I returned instead of making me wait in line behind people who were checking in). But just something to be aware of.
Overall, this is a cozy, comfortable hotel with a very nice staff. I'd read some reviews saying the hotel is outdated; it definitely leans more homey than sleek and modern, but I thought the facilities were perfectly good. I especially liked the large bathtub. My room was on the smaller side but space was used well, with a little closet where you can put your clothes and small touches like USB outlets for your phone on the side tables. The view was also pretty, and I liked being able to open the windows while I slept at night. If you're interested in the museums, the location is pretty ideal, as it's just a 5-minute walk from the Rijksmuseum, Moco, and a few of the other cultural spots. It's also just a blocks or two from the higher-end shops. The neighborhood is very quiet; no issues with noise at night at all. Breakfast is convenient. I wouldn't say the food is life-changing, but they've got a good amount of options like eggs, yogurt and granola, breads and spreads, and pancakes. The dining room is also cozy and quiet.

It was a very nice breakfast with lots of nice stuff, the only thing I missed from November 2023 was the Brie Cheese in small slices. The location is perfect!

BelgiumThe bar was very small, not really the place to have a drink after a long day. The breakfast also left some things to the imagination, especially the vegan options.
The reception staff was very helpful. They gave us tips on where to go, were always available and were very friendly. The bike service was also great - very easy to book and bikes were in perfect condition. It was clean, comfortable and the location was perfect.

Outstanding location- around the corner from the AirPort Express bus and other public transportation, walkable to everything, and very near places to get food and many popular attractions, such as the museum district and Vondel Park. Room was very clean, offering all the basics, but more available as needed from 24-hour reception desk. We would love to stay there again.

IsraelThe general crowding and and lack of minimal separation between the beds in the large, family room.
The staff was super kind, gracious and accommodating and the location couldn't be better- located in a quiet, up-scale neighborhood which was quiet and peaceful but amazingly close to transportation stops and withing walking distance to museums, shops and restaurants. However, Amsterdam being Amsterdam, the rooms, except for the family room, were quite small and crowded, including the bathroom. The family room was indeed larger, however there was no physical barrier or sense of minimal privacy between the spaces of the 2 double beds and their accompanying immediate surroundings. Had the rooms been better planned, it would have been possible to achieve at least some sense of psychological intimacy for each bed location setting without wasting too much space. Breakfast entailed an extra charge and was very satisfying and tasty but not exceptionally pampering or gourmet style. The breakfast room host was sweet and charming.

The accommodations are spotless, quiet nights, comfortable beds and pillows. My room had air conditioning which was a pleasant surprise since the hotel is listed as no A/C. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was plenty and great quality. If you are in town for the museums and dont mind taking the metro or tram to reach other areas this is the perfect location. If this is your first time in Amsterdam and will be taking a lot of trips from Central Station then pick another option.
