It's not negative, just be ready that this hotel is full of noisy groups of adolescents in the reception and restaurant areas. The service and staff are friendly and effective though, but still allow for 20+ minutes for your check-in.

The room and bathroom were nice, clean and spacious enough for 3 people. We arrived by car and used the large parking space inside the hotel (we booked it before). The entrance for the car is from the Piarcoplein which I would put into my car's GPS next time rather than Orlyplein. There is another outdoor parking lot there too. The Sloterdijk train station is in 1 minute walking distance, and from there it's 5-10 minutes by train to the Amsterdam Centraal station, hence a really good location if you don't mind those 6 € for a return ticket. Overall, great location for a car traveller who wants to visit Amsterdam. I definitely recommend.

The check in could be done earlier since the room was ready. Ιn case of individual reservations, the management should not give a room on a floor where students have booked rooms in school groups. There was quite a commotion in the corridors for several hours. 4 days we had the stay no one came to clean our room even though we mentioned it.

It was an individual room, but a ridiculously narrow one, like made it for getting extra money. Not really clean. No soundproofing at all, you could hear everything from contiguous rooms and hallway. You cannot open the window for fresh air. It's crowded of school kids all the time so social areas are messy and noisy. Location is not as good as it seems, it could be right next to the train station but that's all, it's far from everything so you have to take a train for going anywhere $$, there are not so many options for food or drinks around, it's really isolated. For that price is not worthing, you may pay a place near the downtown where you have all around just walking.

Depending on who you share your dorm with, the noise will vary when people come home at night. Unfortunately not everyone is very considerate but this is to be expected and not the hotel’s fault.

Check-in wasn’t ready till 4pm although check-in is 3pm. When they said it was ready, I went up and it was still not ready. They compensated for breakfast though. I was alright about it.

We requested to the reception twice to change the beddings as we are staying for 5 nights but the housekeeping only fixed the bed but never changed the bedclothes, covers, sheets, blankets for 5 nights.

The drain of our shower was clogged throughout our stay. We were told it was a problem on our whole floor and that it would be fixed the next day but the situation only improved a little. If we showered for a short time each, it was still okay as the water would drain over night.

The hotel was in a great location, just next to one of the big stations in Amsterdam. So it was easy to get anywhere from here (it didn't seem like there was anything notable in this specific area but we mainly spend time in the city center anyway). Our room was decent and had most of the necessities for the four of us, although it wasn't the newest or cleanest.

It was not possible to open the windows in the bedroom (not even from the "upper side") and there was only a fan system, so it was impossible to let air circulate and cool down the room - and to get rid of the various smells that six people can produce ^^'
