Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaOne of the best hotels I have stayed at. The owners Romulo and Helga go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The property is a bit far from Cusco city centre, but in the middle of an Inca archeological park where there are a lot of spots to explore in peace. Romulo often takes the guests out on tours of these sites, way past forbidden signs so that you have a truly unique experience which no tour agency in Cusco can offer. He has worked in tourism for a long time so is super knowledgable about the surrounding areas as well. They also have 2 beautiful dogs and a cat and a lovely little garden.

Germanylocated 200 m above cusco, amidst grass-covered plateaus & pre-inca ruins, you pass cows, horses & donkeys following the inca trail through san blas down to it's origin at plaza de armas on a miraculous 40 min walk. (uber 12 / taxi 15 soles) Helga&Rómulo +dogs Sofi&Lupo and cat Whisky are loving hosts, who made us feel welcome, cozy & home in an instant! helpful with any request they provided way more than an accomodation: a family environment wherefrom we could plan & move to happily return within our 2 weeks stay! a place where souls connect & recreate -THANK YOU ♥︎ ♥︎

CanadaI had no idea how close this location would be to the Inka trail and so many historic ruins including the Inka trail, multiple temples and multiple historic attractions. All within walking distance. It was way up on the hill at the edge of town overlooking the city. A beautiful spot. A quick $5 Uber ride or a 20 minute walk down the hill to the main square if needed. BUT! With all that said, the best part was the staff. They were so eager to share stories, engage with my kids and I, and take us to some of the sites. Gelga would cook us a homemade breakfast and take care of our needs. Romulo would share regional history and would bring us to some of the nearby attractions, not because it was expected, but because he genuinely enjoyed doing so. He went above and beyond our expectations for the enjoyment of it. What a great experience and it was an absolute highlight for our time in Peru.

PhilippinesNothing at all. I had the best stay here.
Hosts: The hotel is beautiful but the real highlights are Gelga and Romulo. I have never met hosts as hospitable, warm, and generous as they were. They went above and beyond to make sure I have a wonderful stay. Romulo and Gelga even help guests book and arrange the tours they want to do. They also provide warm compress every night, which is especially great during winter. Room and Facilities: The room and facilities were always kept clean and pristine. Laundry service is also available. Breakfast: Loved the breakfast!! Gelga and Romulo always made sure we had enough food and they always blended fruits in the morning to make us fresh and organic juice. Location: The hotel is 30 minutes away from the city center by taxi. The surrounding nature, however, makes up for the distance. It's right beside Templo de la Luna and a huge, huge, huge national park that you can explore freely. You can even go horseback riding if you want to. And Romulo can hike with you and give you a tour of the park and talk about its history. Pets: They have 2 dogs, Lupo and Sophie, and 1 cat, Whiskey - all of whom are well trained and very sweet. Overall, this is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in - - it's a place where you know and feel that the hosts truly care about you. You will not regret staying here. ❤️

CanadaMy stay here was exceptional, mainly due to the great hospitality of the owners, who are both very warm and kind people. Romulo has a passion for history and gave me an impromptu guided tour of the very nearby Inca trail and some key sites along the way. The location is excellent, within walking distance of downtown Cuzco but above all the noise, right next to an important park with the Temple of the Moon and other historic sites. My room was large and comfortable, breakfast was great, I was given a hot water bottle every evening. Highly recommend!

SpainEverything was perfect.
Rómulo and Gelga have really created a beautiful and heartwarming space. The house is very modern and has all the facilities you may need (free wifi, hot water, own private bathroom, toiletries, hot water bottles on cold days, free delicious breakfast, etc) but on top of it all it has a special kind of charm. Templo de la Luna is basically in your backyard and the whole area where the house is located has such a magical energy. It’s a little far from the center, which makes it super quiet and peaceful but you can get to San Blas or Plaza de Armas within 20 minutes walk following the beautiful path of the inca trail. If you don’t feel like walking back up (it’s a good hike!) you can easily get an uber for 10-15 soles. From the minute you step foot in the house you feel extremely welcome. You can feel the love and attention they’ve put into every detail and it truly feels like staying with family. Rómulo is incredibly knowledgeable about the quechua and inca culture and took me for an amazing walk to templo de la luna and zona X. He does tours too, I would totally recommend! Gelga is always so kind, she cooked me rice soup and some home remedies when I wasn’t feeling well and helped me with my laundry. They’re always happy to help with anything you may need (advice, booking taxis, tours, etc) and with a big smile on their face. If you get the chance to share a lunch with them, I encourage you to! The food is so delicious and it truly feels like sharing a meal with your family. You will honestly not find a better place to stay in Cusco, especially for that price! If you’re looking for a place where you can feel safe, cozy and at home, I couldn’t recommend it more. Whenever I’m back in Cusco I’ll be staying again, no doubt! Muchas gracias Rómulo, Gelga y Angie por la mejor estancia, por cuidarme, hacerme sentir como en casa y acogerme como si fuera parte de su familia. Voy a echarles de menos. ¡Hasta la próxima!

SpainKosko Casa was an unexpected gem. I booked it after having seen the beautiful pictures of the place on booking; despite being a new hostel with only a few reviews, it gave me the impression of the kind of spot I would like to stay at. It wasn't in the heart of Cusco like most hostels, and i had a feeling i would benefit from more views and less tourists. I was right :) Romulo, Helga and Marco made me feel welcome from the first moment I met them. Romulo knows every fascinating bit of history there is to know about Cusco and the surrounding areas, he was thrilled to show me around and share with me his unbelievably vast knowledge; Helga's cooking, her attention to details, her quiet but killer sense of humour, made my stay feel even homelier; and finally Marco, one of a kind - a funny, attentive, lighthearted presence in such an already warm environment. The hostel is of course still quite new; during my stay (had planned to leave after one night, ended up staying over a week) I saw everyone's relentless efforts to make the place even efficient, the best that it can possibly be - and it was already so so close :) I recommend it to whoever is craving to learn more about Cusco's history and tradition, its incredible ruins and cerimonial sites, to anyone looking for a spot equally peaceful and vibrant; truly a familiar place away from home.

What a beautiful stay at KOSKO Hotel! We wanted a quite place for our time in Cusco and we’re not disappointed. The perfect hotel when you are looking for a family-run, friendly environment. Romulu, Helga and Marco were super attentive, invited us to have lunch with them, gave us a tour to the Templo de la luna (which is right next to the place)…in the evening we sat together and shared a drink. we felt super comfortable and like at home the whole time! What a beautiful experience. About the hotel itself - it’s comfortable and nice! The rooms are big and new, everything is clean and modern. The patio with all the plants (and the two beautiful dogs of course) is a great place to relaxe and see some Kolibris. Wifi works perfect, you get drinking water, have games to play like cards and darts…we really did not miss anything. You can walk directly from the hotel to the city center in 20 minutes using the inka-path, a beautiful walk. If you don’t wanna walk back up, UBER is around 10 soles. All in all a perfect stay, we could not have been more happy about everything. A big thanks 😊

GermanyJust by chance we came across Romulu and Helga's hotel (Kosko Hotel) - and couldn't have been more lucky. The place that the two created up over the last few years is fantastic. We could not have been welcomed in a more familiar way. It is definitely not a typical Hotel-experience. The rooms are large, bright, clean and just perfect; the courtyard is a little oasis and the common rooms are good for relaxing. Kosko Hotel is super quiet as it is just outside the center. However, a direct path still takes you to the Plaza de armas within 20 minutes on foot. The hotel is located right next to the Templo de la Luna and a large, open area with excavation site. You can't be faster in nature. Romulu was kind enough to give us a tour of the ruins and the park next door on the very first day - a real expert on the history of the Incas and Cusco. He speaks Spanish, English and French and was able to answer all our questions. Additionally they helped us for our tour to Machu Picchu, organizing our trip to Ollantaytambo. We could leave our things and car here without any problems during our days at Machu Picchu. You can get tea, coffee and fruit all the time, the breakfast is delicious and fresh. During the cold days, hot water bottles were brought to us... Oh, you can't even list all the attentions. All in all a really perfect stay without any complaints. Instead of staying 3 nights we were here a whole week - it was like staying with close family in a foreign country. Thanks a lot Romulu, Helga and Marco for this experience!

NetherlandsThe fact that it gets cold, especially at night makes the place a little bit less comfortable. But this is nothing they can really change.
The owners of this place are amazing. They go out of their way (e.g. buying special food because of my gluten and lactose intolerance, making special tea when I was sick). They place is very unique and quiet. It is located next to a beautiful nature reserve. If you like nature and the more spiritual path - go heee!! Be aware that the place is out of the centre. The walk down is pretty easy but going up you will need a taxi. Also, it can get pretty cold at night (the make you something to heat your bed). Keep this in mind whilst coming here, we loved it though!
