It might be petty, but the towels were a let down for the price we paid - some were torn and some did not have a nice smell to it - almost muff

The view, the privacy, the overal service. We were honestly very happy.

The view is very special. The unit is well-equipped, which is good - because you won't want to leave. It is far enough away to feel completely isolated, but close enough to to all the activities and restaurants of Knysna to not have to think twice about going.

Unfortunately it does get loadshedding. On our last night the power went off due to an Eskom fault. We tried to reach out to the numbers provided, however they only responded 12 hours later.

The hill was very steep with the car, not something I'm used to. I was also trying to find the swimming pool but couldn't find it, unfortunately.

We stayed in the wild iris lodge for our honeymoon and loved it. Beautiful sights and true silence in this nature! Braaiing was made easy and our room was clean every time we returned. The host was also very welcoming on our checkin. Thanks for this wonderful stay!

No WiFi, limited generator capacity during load shedding which wasn’t a massive inconvenience as there is a gas hob and brain facility onsite - but should be planned for

I loved the patio with the amazing view😍 the jacuzzi was lovely. The cottages are allow for privacy. Marc was such a good host: he gave us a tour map with all the activities we could do in Knysna. He organised our couples massage. He gave us a break down of the best restaurants. Everything was luxurious and perfect. I would definitely rate 10/10

The pool area was under maintenance but would have been great if we could’ve used it. But not a problem at all.

Loved the self made meals(self catering), massages and hot tub on the deck over looking the scenic views of the forest and valleys Love the little kissing spot on the property. But the privacy, peace and quiet, and being surrounded by nature was it for me. The property owner was really insightful and provided great sites to checkout.

Private rooms. Beautiful views. Very tranquil area. Amazing staff. A nice little forest walk to "the kissing spot." We thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi on the deck.. nothing better than sipping on bubbles while gazing into nature. The visit to Forest valley cottages felt like a real escape from the busyness of life.

Friendly and informative host. Beautiful views from the bed, from the bath, from the patio, from the outside shower. Loved the fact that the venue supplies new wood every day and racks up the fireplace ready for a romantic evening. Loved the outside shower. Nice and private. Nice hiking trail with a cute kissing spot. Excellent for a honeymoon or romantic getaway

Amazing view and a beautiful, spacious cottage with everything you need - kitchenette with oven, stove top, coffee machine, kettle and fridge/freezer. Table with chairs inside and outside, a closed fireplace, comfortable seating and bed, modern bathroom, shower with a view and the best of all the bath on the patio with candles and a view. The perfect romantic setting and so relaxing.

Beautiful views, privacy, lovely outdoor shower with a spectacular view...The cottage very well- planned and a real gem. The surrounding forest teeming with birds, close to everything. Buzzing markets beautiful beaches, interesting walks and drives.
