The friendliness of the staff was lovely, especially Becky and Karen, who looked after us so well at breakfast, nothing was too much trouble 😀. The breakfast was very well cooked, and there was plenty of choice. The rooms were a little tired, but the bedding and towels were exceptionally clean, and the beds were very comfy.

The staff are excellent - very welcoming. Location great (5 mins walk to venue), rooms nice and breakfast is very good. Good price too. Hotel is old coaching Inn and full of character. Highly recommended

Breakfast was tasty and the location was central for what we wanted to do. Bus No D2 to Bath City centre runs every 30 mins and stops outside Superdrug, 2 - 3 doors down from hotel and takes about 50mins into Bath bus station for £7.50 return, absolutely the easiest way to get into the city. Longleat is on the doorstep, an easy drive. It was handy that the hotel has its own car park at the rear, with a large pay n display car park next to it (free from 6pm overnight) , if their car park is full.

The location was perfect, only 15mins from Longleat, & 5 mins from Nunney Castle and Nunney Village, and about 15-20mins from Lacock where some of Harry Potter and Downton Abbey was filmed.
