The room I was initially given, the toilet unfortunately wasn't functioning. They then not only moved me but upgraded my room. I absolutely loved the room! The staff, Alex was helpful enough to sort my room out, he was very friendly and approachable. The owner, Carole was very kind as well. All in all, I loved my stay at Dukes! Will definitely recommend this place!

The room was well laid out and had everything you could ask for in a hotel! We stayed two nights and it was perfect. In the heart of the beautiful Georgian city of Bath, this fine Edwardian detached house offers an enclosed garden, free private parking, free Wi-Fi and 5 boutique en suite rooms. The B&B is ideally located within walking distance of the key sites, yet removed enough from the centre to provide a quiet spot to relax after a day of site seeing. The room was very comfortable, clean & beautifully decorated. However, what makes Chestnuts exceptional is the delightful host, Toni, & thoughtful touches such as the homemade sweet treats left in the room each day. It was lovely to have a small piece of cake with a cup of tea. It was also nice that there was fresh milk in the fridge. The breakfasts were extraordinary & among the best I have ever had at a hotel or B&B. I was surprised by the choice on the menu, allowing for something different each morning (e.g. delicious full English, eggs Royal with smoked salmon, eggs Florentine). Toni was easy to communicate with, prompt in responding to queries in advance of arrival & a wonderful host. It was a fantastic experience & we very much look forward to a future opportunity to stay at Chestnuts B&B again.
