This waterfront property offers beautifully appointed luxury villas, designed for maximum privacy and relaxation. From the moment we were collected from the airport to the day we left, we were treated as special and valued guests. The villas are exceptionally well-appointed and comfortable. While they're luxurious, they still feel like "home". A difficult thing to achieve, but Aitutaki Escape has managed to do this. Thomas and his team made every effort to make our stay memorable. We are grateful for their efforts to help us - from a delicious breakfast delivered every morning, arranging a hire car , arranging lagoon tours and helping us find somewhere to eat in the evening. The private pools are a bonus, and we made good use of them - especially in the evenings. We would highly recommend Aitutaki Escape and look forward to returning one day.

Situated in Amuri, a few steps from Aitutaki Beach, Tai Marino - Beach Bungalows offers beachfront accommodation and various facilities, such as a garden. Our stay at Tai Marino was amazing, absolutely perfect. Vaea and Kii are perfect hosts, there when you needed them and not when you didn't. Vaea helped organise bookings, picked us up from the airport and Kii took us out on a relaxing and utterly enjoyable lagoon cruise. lunch provided by Vaea. Both generously shared their love and knowledge of their home and made us feel very welcome. We could not find one fault even if we tried.

Exclusively situated on its own private island, this luxury resort offers the only overwater bungalows in the Cook Islands, offering prime views of Aitutaki Lagoon, one of the world’s most beautiful... the location is sensational, free use of paddleboarding and bike and good quality. room was lovely. staff was very nice. it feels like a little paradise. I would stay there again
Awesome Island and people; great food and easy living. Hated to leave. Untouched island. Hope they preserve their way of life for years to come. "Enjoy your visit in Aitutaki and don't forget to leave".
Everyone on the island is very welcoming and very helpful. We went on a lagoon cruise with Kia Orana Cruise and had a great time. We visited lots of the islands in the lagoon and also went snorkeling at two different sites. There are other cruise companies and some have much bigger boats and can take about 40 people. The cruise we chose had only 4 people on it so we could visit the tiny islands without the big crowds. It is worth bearing in mind that this is a small island and everything must be imported from Rarotonga which in turns imports a lot from NZ. It's not extremely cheap but the views and the people make it all worth it.
Beautiful beaches and crystal clear sea surrounded and protected by a reef. Great location for those amazing South Pacific sunsets. There is no public transport so would highly recommend hiring a scooter or car unless you are in a hotel that caters for your every need and you don't want to explore the island.
Requests were not always met. Mostly closed on Island. restaurants would not allow us to book for dinner, they informed they were booked out. Couldn't get on excursions as they were saving them for a cruise ship. Waste of time going there.
The island of Aitutaki is not for everyone. There are no fancy shops or malls and limited deluxe restaurants. It is a place to get away from the busy life and enjoy peace and quiet. Walking the beaches and swimming are the main attractions.
Include a walk around the island to get the feel of its fabulous location. We put the ambience before our food expectations - breakfasts were generous, lunches were our most enjoyed and the dinners relaxing with Thursday happy hour, local musicians playing and the location adding to a great holiday. A great Resort particularly suitable for young couples with as much or as little activity available as one could wish for.
