Located in the quaint old town in Shangri-La, Arro Khampa Boutique Hotel features design rooms with wooden furnishings. Amazing place. Really beautiful and very well located. The staff is very helpful and goes the extra mile. Apparently there are many activities organised by the hotel, that we did not know about. When you are there, make sure to inquire about these.

Tucked away in the fabled Shangri-La, Courtyard Shangri-la 藏舍小院 is a peaceful setting featuring cosy guestrooms of Tibetan touches. Location was perfect, very cozy accommodation, owner was super nice and helpful and gave up many travel recommendations

Set in Shangri-La and with Guishan Park reachable within 600 metres, Tavern Hostel仁和客栈 offers a garden, rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. Each room comes with a balcony. This Hostel is the best I‘ve ever been to - I even stayed two nights longer than planned, even thoughthe weather forecast had predicted only rain. The location is perfect - right on the Edge of the old town. But do NOT follow Google Maps, the Location is wrongly listed there - follow agoda or Booking It is run by a young family. The owners speak English and are happy to help you with any questions or tour or Booking you would like to do. They also help save money wherever they can and have lots of connections. The homemade dishes (Tibetan, Yunnan, Korean, Chinese, Western) are prepared with love and are very delicious. If you don’t want to go out or you want to chat with other English-speaking backpackers, or the family itself, it‘s always fun to sit around the stove, have tea or hot water and talk about different cultures, experiences, ect. as if you were part of the family Beds, rooms, bathroom, showers,… Everything is always perfectly clean

Excellent property conveniently located in the old town, close to the north gate. The owner was very helpful with day to day trip planning.

The hotel was very clean, much better than I expected, there were many beautiful flowers in the garden, the owners were very kind and invited me to have hot pot with them, it was a very pleasant experience！

Yi's Hostel is located in Shangri-La, close to Dafo Temple. Free Wi-Fi access is available. Yi's Hostel is a 10-minute walk from Guishan Park and Moonlight Square. Staff at Yi's Hostel were so amazing! When we had a flight cancellation, Kunga went above and beyond to help us solve the problem. All of the brothers gave us great advice on activities and snacks and taught us more about the history of the area. We would love to stay here again. Also the heated blankets were perfect for the cold nights.

Providing river views, The blue mountains on the moon in Shangri-La offers accommodation, a garden, a bar, barbecue facilities and a shared lounge. The room was very pretty and cozy with great heaters, an electric blanket and a cool toilet

Housed in a Tibetan-style building, Timeless Inn is located in Shangri-La Old Town. It offers free Wi-Fi in all areas, bicycle rentals and free usage of computers at the public areas. This was easily one of the most hospitable stays I had during my stay in Yunnan. The power couple were very friendly and approachable. The room was also beautiful and had a good local touch to it, accommodation was also very near to main highlights. I had reached out before the stay indicating I had a parcel delivering later, and the landlady happily headed out into the mail office to pick it up. (It was a large luggage as my then one broke, and the location being a little remote, has centralized parcel delivery). I also reached out asking if they could advise on things to explore in the area (+ a bit more) after my stay with them. My wife and I had the good fortune to be exploring further north with the landlady's husband, who is an avid local hiker. On top of delivering more than they'd promised in the tour, they also ensured upcoming accommodations whilst bringing us to local delicacies, at a good rate (in fact a local discount as I'd cross-checked) with no qualms at all. The tour was very successful as we explored areas which would have not been covered in the otherwise typical packages (at higher costs too). Towards the end of the stay with them, the landlady had also made sure we got on a cab in time to head back out.

Boasting room service, this property also provides guests with a children's playground.... It’s a nice hotel, huge rooms, friendly stuff. Very convenient location, free parking is closed. The lobby guy did good job, met us and helped a lot. And also Nice view.
