The negative reviews I read previous to my arrival must have been drafted from those who have somewhat unrealistic expectations. Hotels outside of Quito are Not necessarily going to be predictable big box hotels in other countries. Embrace the fact you are near to the Amazon and be glad to have this hotel offering in El Coco. I did not see ONE other hotel that could begin to compare!!! Also much appreciated were the in room air conditioning as well as the restaurant. Don’t expect that elsewhere in El Coco.

I stayed in two rooms, after night one they let me switch to the better room, without me saying anything. This is about the second room: The fridge with a freezing compartment was practical. There was hot water. AC worked great. Definitely would stay there again. Staff was always friendly.
