We stayed in a cabin, which was spacious and comfortable, and even included a mini fridge and hot water kettle right in our room. The bed was very comfortable and our cabin and all of the facilities are well-maintained and clean. Besides the cabins, there are spaces available for camper vans and tents, and the grounds and facilities are accommodating for all users. The kitchen is well-equipped and makes it easy to prepare and sit down to nice meals. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. Michelle and Andrew really go the extra mile to ensure that everything is clean and runs smoothly. And it was an extra bonus that there are pet birds, so cool to see. Michelle and Andrew are onsite and make themselves available to provide information and answer questions for guests.

A luxury bed & breakfast experience awaits you in our historic Oamaru stone mansion. The owners were exceptionally friendly & restaurant staff were great. Bedroom & facilities were awesome - every detail was thought of & included - shower was brilliant & lighting in the wall. Loved the artwork in the breakfast room upstairs!!

The Shepherd's Rest is situated on a farm, within a 10-minute drive from the centre of Oamaru.
