The Depot goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. We stayed in the Pullman Suite. It was beautiful. I was impressed by the small touches. The alarm clock has extra charging ports. That saved us some hassle because I forgot my charging block. The nice thick robes were great. I slept like a baby both nights because the bed was massive and like sleeping on a cloud. Soaking in the Jacuzzi probably helped with too. Also amazing. I was also able to soak up some knowledge about the history of trains and the La Plata area. Fun fact, I was super impressed with learning about Lester Dent. Amazing guy. So visit the Depot, or Google him for a bad ass read. 😉 The main thing I would like to go on about in this review, was the staff. We stayed for 2 days, and every time we left the room, we were trested like family. I was really blown away by the level of customer service. When we checked in, the weather was nasty and it was late, the lady at the front desk had turned the heat on in our room in preparation for us. That was so kind of her. The entire staff was absolutely top notch. If you want to be treated like royalty and are looking for a diamond in the rough, here's your place.

Quality Inn Kirksville is located near Truman State University, Thousand Hills State Park, Northeast Missouri State Fair, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and Kirksville Regional Airport. Perfect location for our stay. Not big breakfast eaters.

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, White House Lodge-1880's Home-2Bd- Upper Parkview is located in Brookfield. This spacious 2bedroom with a huge bathroom is an excellent option. The living area is very comfortable also. Across the street to two beautiful parks. Walking distance to downtown. We will stay there from now on when we go visit our family.

Located in Shelbina, Simple Rewards inn features barbecue facilities. This 4-star hotel offers room service, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The oatmeal is Quaker Oats brand. I was the only one staying at the hotel and there is a gas station across the street that sells microwave breakfast sandwiches. It's the only hot food for miles especially at night.
