Very well presented cottage that is tastefully appointed and has lots of extras. The fridge is well stocked with breakfast goodies and i suspect the eggs are home grown. Lots of books and DVD's as well as free to air TV. Large bedroom and ensuite added to the comfort of our stay. The Kitchen is decently appointed making self catering easy. There is even some seed to host the visiting FIFO wildlife. The resident Alpachas seem to watch your every move and apparently don't mind the occasional slice of apple. Lovely couple of days.

A lovely comfortable motel room with all the facilities you need for a limited self catering eg breakfast. Within walking distance to restaurants and the attractions of Lake Entrance (some you need a car for) Walking distance to the footbridge to beaches, heritage houses and a pier where we did see seals playing. The chap who checked us in was super helpful and friendly.

We had a family room for an overnight stop. The property is very dated but room was extremely clean and plenty of space. 2 single beds in seperate area to main bed. Basic self catering facilities but there are several small camp kitchens that have a full size stove and hot plates. Great location. Would stay again.

In terms of self-catering accommodation for a family at an economical price, Traplin's would be very hard to beat. Big enough to spread out and has a fully equipped working kitchen. The exclusive availability of a good-sized private pool and spacious barbecue area was a real bonus. Very friendly and accessible hosts. It's not a brand new 5-star resort but with grandkids in tow, that was probably a blessing.

This is just the place to 'get away from it all'. It's set in beautiful bushland, and there is an abundance of wildlife, especially birds. The accommodation itself is very spacious and full of character, and is fully equipped for self-catering for those who want that. A great breakfast was provided (cook yourself). Would love to return for a longer stay.

The space! Comfortable seating to watch the finals of The Australian Open. A little out of the main town but well located and very comfortable. Facilities allowed for self catering to a limited extent - basic breakfast or takeaway meal.
