The flat is very well equipped, beautifully finished and is located near to the cathedral, the restaurant area of Angouleme is only a six - seven minute walk. The attention to detail and the facilities are superb. You have a fully equipped kitchen a fridge freezer, coffee machine with plenty of coffee cassettes and with amble storage in a pantry too. A coffee table that turns in to a dining table and plenty of cutlery and plates along with a dishwasher to clean them for you. The host is very helpful and directed us to some very good restaurants whilst we were in Angouleme. We asked if we could borrow a iron when we arrived - an iron and ironing had been placed in the apartment when we returned from dining out. A good host makes your stay even more enjoyable. Although located on the road the apartment is very quiet having double glazing. The ensuite shower room is very big and spotless. There is a very good sized wardrobe and robes - towels and slippers all provided. There was also the lovely little touches of a small bottle of local cognac, some jam along with butter etc to make your breakfast easy too. The view from the apartment is amazing too we would highly recommend Le Rempart du Midi and will try to stay again. We went specifically for the Curcuit des Ramparts weekend to meet with friends and see the cars and the race - this was an amazing event by Angouleme and the view from the balcony - SUPERB!

We were lucky enough to get the ground floor with small patio, since we had bicycles. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. Great kitchen. The powerful standup fan was more than enough to keep us comfortable during the hot days and evening. The washing machine was much appreciated but it takes 3 hrs to complete a load. The apartment is walking distance from restaurants, markets and sights.
