You could order it a day in advance. It is a good base to explore other places such as Monopoli, coastal region, Matera, Lecce. It is an hour's drive from Bari airport. We were very satisfied.

Although the apartment is not in the old town it is only a few minutes walk away. The place was immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. There is a well supplied kitchen for self catering but the cafes and restaurants in the old town are very close. The apartment is on streets laid out in a grid with a well signposted one way system but a sat nav is very useful.
