Score is rounded up from an 8.5 - a 9 feels a bit high, but I think most of our issues were incidental/circumstantial. The apartment was overall very clean and well appointed. The exact location isn't very exciting, but it's definitely convenient. It's a walk away from Veurne's centre and a good base for visiting De Panne (5-10 minute drive). Parking is really easy too. The host was very friendly and incredibly helpful. We had an issue with the plumbing and she was very quick to reply and try to help. She was also very respectful about not entering the property without express permission during our stay - even while we were out. Due to social anxiety, I much prefer stays where I can let myself into the property, but as Justine was so kind, on this occasion I didn't mind that we needed to arrange our arrival this way. The quality of the accommodation felt like very good value for the price.

Beautiful location, canal nearby and garden then open fields view from main room,which made it a lovely stay. Excellent welcome from Christine even though we were late and later than expected. All facilities and equipment you could and plenty of space. And beautifully quiet ... apart from lovely birdsong.
