My friend and I used the apartment as a staging point for visiting Colditz Castle on the morning of departure. This property is perfect for that use. We arrived by train and departed by the 619 bus. Both the train station and the bus stop are within eyesight of the apartment. The apartment itself is comfortable, super clean and very nicely equipped. There are junk food places across the street, and a Lidl a few steps away. We enjoyed an evening meal at a Greek restaurant, Goldenes Schiff, within easy walking distance down Karl-Marx-Strasse, just beyond the park. For our purpose, it couldn't have been better. While we never met our host, there was good messaging, and it was easy to get the key from the lock box. The apartments are not numbered, so it took a moment to find ours. Ours was, indeed, marked with a decorative hanging thing that said "welcome." The key fit, and we were happy to enter.

Everything is very clean and the house is absolutely quiet. Free parking in front of the house. It is necessary to take into account the staircase - the kitchen and living room are on the first floor, the bedroom with bathroom and toilet are on the second floor. We (family 2+2) spent a very pleasant time here; we will certainly return.
