Staying at Villa Rebecca was exactly what we expected and needed after 15 days of touring: a tranquil setting, a little bit away from the hustle and bustle of Luxor. Situated on the West Bank, in a rural-like area surrounded by family-style homes and local agriculture, this apartment was clean, comfortable, and spacious. We had a gorgeous view of sunrise and sunset from the terrace, and really enjoyed the delicious breakfast provided. The host, Ali, and the other people there working were all so kind and helpful - we were really grateful and impressed by how hospitable they were in getting us groceries (i.e. milk, fruit, beer, water, etc.), dropping us off and picking us up at the boat docks whenever we needed it, and for making us feel so welcome from the first moment we met. One of our most special memories was riding three to a motorbike (several times!) through the fields and residential streets, waving back at smiling locals as we whizzed by under the blazing Egyptian sun! It was awesome! Ali also ended up taking us to Marsa Alam for a very reasonable price and I highly recommend that you ask him about tours, places to eat and anything else you might be interested in - he is a very kind man. Overall, a wonderful place to spend your holiday. Highly recommend it!

1. Pick up/drop off and taxi service for the day to Valley of the Kings… by Ahmed is great. he is on time and polite, didn’t even expect tips when I gave him for his service 2. The apartment is big with beautiful bales view of Nile and East bank. wifi/air conditioning, hot water, fridge and kettle all works well. bed is comfortable and there were 2 bottles of water in the fridge 3. The pool and deck for relaxing is AMAZING after a hot day sightseeing. I love laying on the deck and look out the view 4. The rooftop for sunset and more panoramic view of the Nile is a must. I was out very early in the morning so didn’t see the sunrise but I am sure you can see the sunrise from the balcony as well 5. Since I was out before breakfast time, the brother of the owner( sorry I forgot his name) prepared me the breakfast box the night before so I can have something to eat which is very appreciated!! ( bread/jam/boiled eggs/bananas) 6. very relaxing and free from noises but birds chirping, wish I could stay one more day. 7. You can take tuk tuk or walk to downtown then either public ferry(5E£) or private boat to east bank( I didn’t take that but I think you can negotiate to 30-40E£) 8. Do your shopping ( drink/snack/fruit) in town if you don’t want to buy it in the hotel as I didn’t see any shops around the hotel. You can order food in the hotel I was told it’s good

My husband and I enjoyed very much our stay. We definitely recommend it to everyone. *The place has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. *They offer food from a close by restaurant and it is delicious. *The pool is well keep and it is great for relaxing. *The location is the perfect middle point to everything (Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens is 10-15 minutes drive. Within 15 minutes walk you get to the harbor where you can cross by boat directly to Luxor temple or Karnak Temple). We both felt extremely welcome. Mahmoud, Mohammed and Ibrahim were amazing hosts, they speak good English and are very kind. Casa Loko can also arrange different tours for you.

There were quite a few things to be liked specially the warm welcome by the host. The place was totally neat and clean like new. Almost everything of daily use was available. The host specially took out time and took me outside to show all around like the super store, the nearby eating place and where to get the boat to travel to the other side of the Nile. Immediately arranged for the drop off to airport on my request. It was very peaceful place. Beds were comfortable.

Not just before you arrive, but throughout the stay. I was in the flat 6 nights and got regular "everything ok?" messages - which is nice when there is obviously no reception. The apartment is very big indeed, it was very clean and well equipped. I liked having a washing machine, large clothes rack for drying clothes, iron snd cooker. The mattress and pillows are comfortable. Wifi good.

The owner was really nice and he helped us with everything we asked for (trips, food, informations) he waited us and took us to the apartment when we came and till the last day he provided us with all our needs.
