This really was exceptional. We appreciated the many "real home" touches. This starts with a properly equipped kitchen - I have not seen an AGA in a rented cottage before - continues with the right pots and pans, goes via coasters for glasses and proper linen throughout and on and on. I loved the fixings which were all solid and well thought through - closer to what one would want in one's own home than to what one normally gets for public consumption. Colours and materials are spot one. This would be cosy any time of the year. In summer there is plenty of room to be outside. All basic shopping is within walking distance. The grounds are exceptional. One of Scotland's biggest Sequoias stands in them which illustrates that the term garden would be really inadequate. Helen and Alasdair were delightful hosts. We would gladly return.

Great location with parking. Accommodation was spacious, tastefully decorated and the beds were super comfy. A well equipped kitchen and the washer/dryer machine came in handy for muddy gear. It was great that we could bring our dog too.

Me, my partner and our dog visited the Isla pod for 2 nights over the weekend and it was such a relaxing time. It was very cosy, the small kitchen area was a great help especially since you are quite far away from the nearest takeouts etc. Kay was so helpful and left a little folder full of maps and different resources such as a taxi number and the local chippy/Chinese takeaway information. There is no wifi or a lot of signal in the area so going on social media and receiving texts/calls may be difficult (which we were looking for) however there are board games under the bed to keep you entertained! The pods are also equipped with a cool box and a mini fridge if you’re bringing your own food/drinks and also a heater which is extremely fast at heating up the pod so doesn’t need to be on for long at all! Over all such a fantastic place and would visit again (in a less rainy month) so we have the use of the firepit and bbq!
