The property is gorgeous, had lots of lovely little touches that just made the stay feel extra special. The fresh flowers on the coffee table, a complimentary mini bar, the bath salts and dressing gowns. It feels like a 5 star resort but with completely privacy. Hawkshead is small, but the walk to the pubs/shops is only about 4 minutes from the suit which is perfect. And if you wish to venture into bigger towns Ambleside & Windermere are a short drive away. I will be back ASAP it was the best UK overnight break I’ve had.

Their Eggs Benedict was exceptional. The flat rate breakfast fee of £10 for non-inclusive residents, worked out cheaper than casual diners selecting breakfasts from the same menu. It was great value for money. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The village is extremely peaceful and quiet at night time, and we felt very safe walking the dog in the early hours of the morning.
