- everything looks like qutie new inside and outside the buliding we were in, keep in mind that hotel also has an older part - nice swimming pool area - good quality cozy apartment located on the basement level, so it did not heat up too much during the day, even with the climate switched off - very good buffet breakfasts - nice and helpful staff, we got a very good recommendation of the restaurant we used every day - good value for the price we paid

Moldova
Emorfia's apartments is very well equipped, spacious (with high ceilings) and very clean. It was nice to be met with a small bottle of rakia on the kitchen table :). In the apartment there is a well-equipped kitchen, hair dryer, comfortable shower and even an iron. There was plenty of room for a family of 4. The beds and mattresses were very comfortable. Most apartments offer additional sleeping space on the sofas, but at Emorfia's there were 2 additional beds with very comfortable mattresses. The terrace of the flat we stayed at is very spacious. It was especially nice to have frequent cleaning services and frequently changed towels. Shower gel and shampoo was provided by the host. The host also helped us a lot with information by responding promptly and offering complete information. I can also add that the host was very reasonable and helpful in a few exceptional situations. A large and pretty clean and calm beach is at a distance of a 5-minute walk. There are many restaurants around, where delicious food is served. (We especially recommend Myli and Steki). But also local supermarkets. One is near the apartment and Lidl is at a 10 minute walk distance.

The best host I've ever met, we've known all the family of Dimitra: Maria, Mihalis and second daughter with son Ares. She invited us to their family dinner she served for their regular guests which was just amazing. Was so atmosferic and it warmed my heart. When we were leaving Dimitra gave us small presents) People were great. The accommodation is very nice and cozy in a nice and quiet area just a couple of meters from the beach. Also the bus stop is right around 3 min from the apartment, taverna Yannis running by a great family is also near and very nice and delicious. They opened for us 1.5 before they opened because we were leaving for the airport and asked them for lunch! I've left my heart there) The apartment is equipped with the AC and net protection from the mosquitoes which is vital. It is much better to stay in such small places, not big hotels because here you can feel the real Greece and real atmosphere! Again, amazing!

The family of Maria and her daughters Eleni and Pinelopi treated me and my wife exceptionally great! Our room was upgraded from a really good and comfortable room to an excellent suite with a kitchenette, a living/dining room, 2 TWO balconies!!! Hearty breakfast was included. In addition, we made a new friend in Nadia. She took care of us from the moment we arrived, helping us with our luggage. She’s strong! She also kept us company during breakfast, teaching us some of the Greek way of life. Everyday all of the ladies would ask us if we were comfortable and if we needed anything, just ask and it is done! Before Crete, we had been to Athens, Paros, Naxos and Santorini, but the Pinelopi hotel family made us felt at home, relaxed, comfortable, and HAPPY!😊! If we get a chance to come back to Crete, WE WILL STAY AT PINELOPI AGAIN. Efcharisto, Efcharisto, Efcharisto ladies!!!!

There are a few restaurants quite close but the main part of Plantanes is about a 10 minute walk. The main centre of Rethymno is about 3 miles away.
