Just 20-30min drive from Selfoss - lesser light pollution which allowed us to see the Northern lights dance right in front of & above the apartment 3 nights in a row ! I relaxed the moment we opened the door to the apartment. Staff were very friendly and there if you needed them but otherwise kept away. The location, too, suited us perfectly Just be aware your nearest town is about a 20-minute drive to buy supplies - we knew this before booking so came prepared!!
