Very nice apartment in quiet location not far from Alberobello. Nice owner, who did his best and we really felt like home. Location allows to travel short way and visit great places like Matera, Alberobello, Ostuni, Locorotondo, Monopoli, Bari, etc. Apartment very clean, very well equipped with everything you may need for short visit or longer holiday stay for 2-3 persons. If Booking.com would only allow I would rate 12 not 10!

Il Trullozio is a compact villa with a bedroom and dressing room in a trullo, beautifully done. When the lights are on in the trullo it glows and feels very secure and quiet. There is a clean, Ikea style kitchen and bathroom attached to the trullo that allowed us to cook some meals and make espresso every morning. Basic kitchen tools and plates there. One feature that really helped us was the clothes washer and dryer in the hallway. In our two week stay we were able to clean our clothes multiple times and stay organized. Location: Easy 5 minute drive to Castellana Grotte for grocery/wine runs and occasional dining. Owner Gianluca’s recommendation of local Trattoria Arco Persio in Castellana G. Led to several really nice dinners for us. Having googlemaps and a sub-compact car made the narrow road negotiations easier. Technically cyclists (bicycles) could stay at Il Trullozio with gravel bikes. Gentle grades on most routes but lots of narrow, gravel road sections. We had rented a small car but saw lots of cyclists.

We were really 'wowed' when we saw The Masseria - it is very spacious actually had two bedrooms , two receptions and a connecting area to the master bedroom and the rear garden. The property is so airy and clean, and tastefully decorated with what we thought were how authentic Old Masseria's would have. It also has a small kitchenette with a single induction hot plate, perfect for making coffee. The Hosts Nicola and Bibiana are so welcoming. Communication was effortless, for instance as it may be difficult to find the property on your first visit - they sent a set of pictures and clear instructions how to arrive. When we did we had such a warm welcome from Bibiana, who showed us about the property but also some of the older out houses to give us an flavour of how this old farm house worked. Helpfully we also had recommendations for good restaurants from the three nearby cities/towns We had a truly relaxing time, sitting out in the front of the property taking in the views of the orchard around the property, invited to the roof top of the masseria to have a 360 degree views of the beautiful surrounding area. We chose this place from both the great reviews and strategic location of the property - easy to get to other historic places of interest and the beaches. I will definitely return and look forward to the plans of incorporating the old out house used for making Olive oil to a luxury relaxation area. We really appreciated our hosts, they really do want all their guests to feel at home. Nicola and Bibiana-- Thank you xx
