Elena greeted me on arrival with warm hospitality, answering all questions and providing useful information on the area. The apartment (“il pescatore”) was stunning: immaculately clean, equipped with excellent Wi-Fi, well supplied kitchen, and very spacious bedroom, bathroom and living room. The pool and garden area were delightful. I was on the ground floor but had no trouble with street noise. The air conditioning worked perfectly and the bed was very comfortable. The building itself is a beautifully restored “palazzo “ with every amenity.

Andrea is a fantastic host. Always available to help should you need it. A very friendly good hearted person. He helped us resolve a parking ticket I received (my fault) and connected us with his fried Simone who gave us a tour of Mt Etna. The apartment is large, airy, comfortable, very clean and has anything you might need. The washing machine and second bathroom are a big plus. Wonderful views of Mt Etna. From one of the three balconies you an see the sea. Our bed was large and composed of two separate mattresses. My wife and I could toss and turn without disturbing each other. We used his gated parking space only one night. Street parking was always available. The neighborhood is very safe with a lot of shops and restaurants in walking distance. Old narrow streets. We hope to stay here again on our next visit to Eastern Sicily. Thank you Andrea!

The apartment is in a newly renovated early 20th century building. The attention to detail with which the whole place was refurbished was impressive. Our aprtment was on the first floor and quiet, windows overlooking the courtyard with the pool. It was our base to travel to Etna cable car station (45min by car). The main train station of Giarrre/Riposto and the Circumetnea train station are both on a 10-15min walking distance.

We had a car and it was easy to reach places of interest from here.
