We loved the traditional styled home. It is something my husband and I seek out when traveling Japan! it was also very nice to have our space and the option to do some minimal cooking. We have been in and out of hostels the last 3 months so this was an amazing first “home” experience we’ve had in a while.

Cocostay is more like an AirBnB than a hotel - which was somewhat unusual for my trip to Japan. Check in was via a lockbox, which worked well and there were no problems accessing the small apartment. It was quite well equipped and it was very helpful to have a washer/dryer for my laundry.

We enjoyed staying in this quiet suburb, riding bikes along the small streets. Having a whole little house to ourselves was a nice treat. The host was responsive and self check in was easy. Good directions to the location.
