Lovely house in the countryside. the town was so quaint. You are right by a beautiful church and an old elegant train station. There were rail bike tours right by the house. wish we had booked a tour in advance because they were popular. near to Marvao castle. went swimming in the Praia Fluvial in Portagem. Linda was very helpful and a great host.

It was what I expected for the price of the lodging when I booked it (about 25 euros a night). The location was excellent, although Castelo de Vide is small enough that it's a non-factor. It was easy to check in and out, though check-in was not so straightforward. The coffee machine was a nice touch and the owner thankfully had some nice extra warm blankets that were essential since it was rather cold when I stayed. The owner was very communicative and was accomodating when I needed to change the dates for which I was staying last minute.
