We just loved our stay here. The apartment is the large top floor of a house, above the landlords, open plan (including the bedroom), well equipped and very comfortable. We enjoyed the kitchen, as well as the superb indoor and outdoor barbeques (wood is provided). The views were lovely towards sea and mountains, both in the distance. The apartment had a good-sized terrace, with outdoor furniture. The house is located in a rural setting, with cows in the garden, and vegetables growing all round. We walked one day to the local restaurant (Cantinho da Serra – excellent), about an hours walk, along undulating but very quiet roads. There were tiny issues, like everywhere, and we warn people to pay attention to their heads on some of the low corners, but overall it was splendid. Above all, this stay was made for us by the owners, Maria and Nuno, who were generous in their hospitality. They are an extraordinary and very warm couple, who have made this a special home from home.

There were victuals waiting for us in the room (fruit, vegetables from their own garden, marinated tuna, pudding, a bottle of Madeira and more) Thank you very much.
