This place exceeded our expectations. Because they have only 3 rooms, this place is really calm and one can relax. We chose this lodge because of the kitchen and it was the best decision ever. It has everything needed to cook and we could prepare our meals during our stay. It felt like our home. We were also lucky as we were alone when we arrived and we were upgraded to the bigger room. It is absolutely luxurious. The lodge itself is beautiful and really good decorated. Moses, Osman and the rest of staff were really nice and helpful at all times. The breakfast is excepcional. Osman prepares the best omelette with veggies and crepes with chocolate. We loved our fruit salad as well. We were looking forward to this every morning! The lodge is located in the village, a couple of meters from the beach, and you can meet all locals here, they are all really welcoming. We would love to come back and we recommend this lodge to anyone that wants a private place in one of the most beautiful places in Zanzibar.

We travelled around the Zanzibar island and chose this hotel for our last two nights and it was the best hotel we stayed in. Everything is attention to detail. The room was perfect and the hotel itself is beautiful and cosy. Such a homely feeling. The owners are wonderful. Breakfast and food at the restaurant was amazing, beach is only 1 minute walk from the hotel. we really enjoyed our stay here and would most definitely stay here again.

You get some free water at the start and then just 5€ for big bottle so you never have to worry about water and plastic waste which was otherwise bit of an issue for rest of our Zanzibar trip. There are many good restaurants around. The apartment was clean and breakfast was very tasty served on the terrace from which you see the sea. Room was spacious with fridge and kettle. There was no problem with electricity or hot water. The closest part of the beach is sandy, no issue with rocks. Host is extremely nice and helpful.

Also breakfast is served in leaves and glasses, no plastic. They give a big water jar to keep in your apartment and from which you can get fresh drinkable water. If you, like me, boycott places that don't adopt sustainable practices and want to make sure that your holiday does not have a negative impact on the environment, this is the right place for you.
