We’re so happy we got the room with the balcony because it had such a beautiful view and we really enjoyed staying out there. Everyone there was lovely and helpful- when we got a flat tire, they found someone (affordable) to quickly fix it for us. And the food is incredible! We are vegetarians and we had lunch and dinner (and breakfast the following morning) and it was delicious and so memorable. Make sure to bring a flashlight, it’s dark at night! And you need to be able to walk up and down lots of steps.

The island itself makes a nice little hike, and during that hike you're sure to bump into a local man named John who lives on the island and offers a half-day boating and hiking tour to the mainland and another island for 40,000 shillings per person. Dugout canoes are available for rental, and the swimming platform is nice. The food is great and reasonably priced. I had a fantastic, beautiful, and very relaxing three days here.

The cottage had an amazing view and the place is in a stunning, peaceful location right by the lake. Would recommend the inflatable kayak to explore the lake. Lovely hospitality from Wilfried, his family and all the staff. Tasty food. Fantastic value for money overall. Lovely hot shower with water heated over a fire. Highly recommend!

He helped us to change the flat tyre we got on our way to the camp and checked the car status (gave us some car oil, etc.). - Since we came and left the camp during the night (spent only 1 night), we couldn't really see how the camp was - but we slept in that night very well and had an early breakfest at approx. 5:30 am.AAnonymousYoung couple
