Built in 1853 and right on the picturesque Fürstenweg, a small path leading to Neuschwanstein Castle, Gutshof zum Schluxen enjoys a quiet location in the middle of fields with grazing cows and horses, and Queen Marie von Bayern stayed here with her sons Ludwig and Otto. Füssen and Reutte are only a 10-minute drive away.

The former estate offers rooms in a Tyrolean style, some of which have a balcony. Additional pillows and blankets are available on request and at a surcharge. If you travel with a car or a motorcycle or a bike, this place is perfect to stay for couple of days. Gutshof is 20min from Fussen and 45min from Garmisch-P., easy to find and placed in a beatyfull valey. This self-service pension is easy to handle, you just take what you need and mark how much you owe on special cards - this only applies to food & drinks though! Table tennis is free, jacuzzi is free of charge - all you need to do is to book it. I liked that the room had small kitchen with all equipement and that room was really clean. Beds were comfortable. There was no real breakfast option, but you could order fresh bakery. If you really needed to see the owner - they were present in the morning. Good wifi.

The property features mountain and river views, and is 400 metres from Golden Roof. The aparthotel has family rooms. The apartment was beautifully decorated and very cozy. It was a very homey place, comfortable for a long term stay.

The hotel room was equipped with everything we needed, self catered all 4 nights and had oven, toaster, fridge etc, all appliances as well as salt and pepper! and washing up tablets/liquid!! ski storage was also convenient
